Zoey
"Ugh!!" I shouted. Yes, I am indeed, grunting. "Come on. Just go inside already!" I shouted again as I push it hard with all my strength. Panting, a little exhausted for this has been going on for quite some time now.
"Oh, God. My hand hurts already. Let's get this done with already. Cooperate with me here. One more push okay? And we'll all be satisfied and finally rest. So come on!" I pushed again one more time. Not just with my hand this time. I pushed with my butt as well. I sat on it, spreading my short legs all over it, grunting as I do so.
And finally. Finally. Just a little more. And.. and..
Yes! Whew. I finally zip it close. My big luggage, I mean. I had sit on it to finally close its mouth, pushing all my clothes inside so there won't be excess when I finally have to zip it down. And I did. I was afraid it'll burst because of too much clothes inside. Well, I have to minimize my baggages or I'll be paying extra in the taxi later. And I don't want that. I'm saving money even if it's only a peso coin. So I have to stuff it all in there. Tshirts, pants, shorts, underwears and towels. Everything essential.
I sat down the floor and leaned back to the wall. I spread my short legs in front of me. I've been panting. Not just because I'm exhauted but because it's so freaking hot in here. Where has the wind had gone to? I'm sweating all over.
I cupped my pockets for my hair tie and when I found it, I drastically tied my hair up not minding what it looked like. It's just annoying me now. I stood up when I felt thirsty, grabbing my towel in the chair near me, I dried my face and neck up and got me some water. God, it feels so good. I put it down the table and start walking back the living room which is just a five or six steps away. I put both my hands in my waist, look around and sigh. It's so messy in here. Things scattered everywhere.
Our house is not big. But not that small either. Enough to have two rooms, one small living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The floors are tiled, even the bathroom and our kitchen sink. It's not fully furbished and still have a lot of repairing to do.
My mom bought this house few years ago and managed to repair some parts of it. Like putting up the tiles and the two rooms. Even putting up a big mirror in the bathroom. Or even the shower! But we can't use it anymore, it's broken.
I walked past the luggage in front of me and looked myself in the full size mirror just in my left.
Yikes, I look horrible. Look at those brown skin glistening in sweat. My extra large, white tshirt with a small print of a cat is now full of black spots from my cleaning earlier. It's so dirty now. Damn, I look tired too.
Whew. What a messy life, huh.
I finally got a job after two months of doing nothing. Just sitting around and be depressed. Eat, sleep, cellphone, tv or cleaning. That's what I do. Just giving this body a lot of fats to store. Not that I'm fat. Just a little chubby. But I'm afraid that a little more eating and sleeping and doing nothing, I'll be a huge, round bun.
So no work for more than two months and here I am, packing my things to move into my new apartment. I just started my job three weeks ago. And with the help of my mother, I borrowed some money to pay for my new apartment. For the first two months of rent, of course. Since I just started, I still don't have any money to spare. But I needed a house near my working place so I don't have to spend too much money or time on commuting. So better yet, rent a room right?
