She’s been in the same place, the same town all her sweet life.
Mama’s always made her breakfast: eggs and toast
Papa’s always at work.
Every morning her brother goes to work without saying goodbye
Every evening he comes home in Papa’s old pickup truck.
He walks through the door and collapses on the couch.
Every day, she sits at the dinning table and works from home.
Every day, Mama serves her a BLT for lunch.
Nothing ever changes.
She’s lived in the same two story house all her life.
Change is inevitable.
Wether you notice it or not, change is always there.
Change in weather.
Change in environment.
Your neighbors might have re-done their house.
He lives on a sailboat.
Everyday he’s in a different location.
He had a cat that died yesterday.
He’s been everywhere.
Fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
That’s the only thing that ever stays the same.
His cousin visits every once in a while.
Or sometimes it’s his brother.
Every morning he wakes up at a different time.
Every morning the weather is different.
Change.
Wether it’s obvious or not; it’s there.
His mama moves constantly.
He never knows where she is.
Her mama is always at home.
Life is so different for everyone.
Some of us want the change.
Some of us don’t.
What we don’t realize is that’s it’s always going to be there.
So why not accept it?
