Every day is a count down to death. Every second is a count down to death. For Jason, living death was in him when Lily and I saw him thrashing around on the ground. His eyes were rolled in the back of his head. He was gagging, and foam came from out of his mouth. He started crawling towards us. Lily and I screamed and ran. We ran down the stairs and out of the house. The neighborhood was abandoned because all of our neighbors were possessed, so we killed them.

"How?" Lily asked sobbing. Tears falling out of her green eyes and into her blonde hair. "No, this isn't real." she said shaking her head.

"It's real." I said in a low tone. "But he needs to die."

She nodded and started crying harder. Lily was close to our little brother, Jason, unlike me. I grabbed a gun from her backpack, and entered the house. He was standing right there. Twitching. He was standing up straight and looking directly at me. Then I fired. There were tears coming from my eyes as I did this. His body dropped to the ground. I knelt beside him. I could see him in his last moments, as a human.

"Lily?" he asked in a raspy voice, blood spit out of his mouth. I was combing my finger through his brown hair crying.

"Shh," I told him. "She wouldn't want to see you like this."

"I love you and Lily," he said. "Sing our song our mother used to sing to us."

"I love you," I said and then started singing and crying at the same time. After I was done singing Lily busted through the door.

"I couldn't let you die without seeing you one more time," she said sobbing. She kissed him on the forehead and we carried him up to his bed.

"I'm going to miss you guys," he said. "I'll always be with you."

Then the light left his eyes.
