Letting go.. forget and move on...

I must say that this is the first denny's (aka. haveyouseenthisgirl) piece that I've read. It' quite different from her other works, but what made me read this short story is its structure.

As a writer and a reader, isa sa mga swak sa panlasa ko ang mga so called 'mysterious' approach na story. Marahil isa iyon sa forte ni Denny.

In the story, isa sa pinakamalaking tanong kung sino ang taong tumutulong kay Sena na kalimutan ang, ex boyfriend niyang si Allen. Well the story is somehow cliche but the story is full of strong visualization na para bang nangyari na sa totoong buhay. Then, here comes Trey,a transfer student at ang bagong pag-ibig ni Sena.

Infact, the whole story evolves in the 11 ways how to forget your ex boyfriend: From taking away all the remnants from him, making yourself busy like hanging out, entertaining new suitors and even falling in love again.

Although in the latter part, I got this idea who is this mysterious sender of Sena, I feel sad to know that Allen was doing this stuff for Sena's sake because he was dying. The saddest part here is Sena didn't even know what happen to Allen.

Well, at least the author gave a good ending for Sena and Trey lovestory. Good thing, Memo is not mention here in the story. Since most of Denny's works are always present and add conflicts in the stories.

All in all, it was good short story, an inspirational one: a sad one but not a tragic. For those who are in the stage of letting go, forgetting and moving on, try Allen's ways, it might work.
