It was only just a year after the great war on a stormy blistering night when we received a knock on the door when we opened it we found a child which of course didn't startle us because we have plenty of children at the orphanage and many of them dropped off in similar circumstances yet there was something different about this one her head was covered by a jacket that was way too big for her and she had an unusual necklace but we took her in and since there was no name on her basket which was hand woven perfectly we decided to call her Emilia and as she grew up we noticed she did not like to be with the other children which concerned us but instead like to read of ancients and fairytales and sometimes after lunch was prepared she would wait till all the kids were gone and sat by herself and ate we gave her clothes and she would wear them but always not without the green jacket that she wore when she was found and by her 12th birthday the jacket still fit and so we thought to get her a new one and when we asked if that was alright she just plainly shook her head in disagreement and instead very lightly said she wanted headphones to listen to music on an electronic she got from a earlier year so we did just that and when we gave it to her she said thank you and then disappeared back to her room which was common since her room mates were adopted and she had the room to herself but the distance kept getting further and further especially after kindergarten most of her teachers ask if she is ok because she didn't talk or make friends and one after another they asked and we replied she just hasn't liked to be around people she likes to seclude herself and after 5th grade she started to every once and a while climb to the roof of the orphanage and sit there and stare out into the city and with the headphones she did this more frequently since her room was one of the rooms on the top floor yet we didn't know how she did it until one day when I caught her trying to get the window open and I watched her she used the protruding bricks of the building to climb to the gutter and she just climbed it like it was nothing which should be fairly easy because she was very light for her age and loved field trips to the forest because she would climb the trees and take naps in them and she could because she seemed to have an eye for strong trees and was quicker on hikes then the other kids so she would climb in a tree and rest and wait till we would catch up. And now it is her third year of high school and unless it is dinner or school she barely leaves the roof and she still has the green jacket and her hair is very long now because she never wanted to get it cut so we didn't force her she grew up into a very beautiful young girl with sky blue eyes fiery red hair and a very silent soothing tone that the kids liked to hear when she was on the roof singing along to the songs and life for her was good as far as we knew.
