-Kingdom Aeldan-

Hara's POV

The sound of sweeping, and water dripping are in the air

My life is nothing exciting, I'm just a normal peasant from Aeldan... I just clean up houses for money to afford meals every day. My name is Hara.

The bright sun shining on my face woke me up. The sun has always been a nuisance to me, come to think of it... everything has. I stood shirtless as I opened the window and stared out at the street. I put on my black shirt, pants and shoes and went out for my repetitive life. I always liked black though since I felt it contrasted my white hair colour, silly I know.

"Hey ma'am, I've come for my dai..." As I stared at my boss who was crying loudly alone. She was always so happy and cheerful, so seeing her this way came as a shock to me. I always haven't been the emotional type so I just stood there, silent.

"O-oh, h-hello Hara" she found it difficult to speak so I sat beside her trying to see if she would tell me what happened. A few minutes of crying later she decided to speak up.

"Ha-Hara, my husband, he was killed by those people who call themselves Fallen Angels"

Hearing this sparked something in me, my parents were killed by a Chrono user for no valid reason, so I hated the thought of anything relating to murder, or The Chrono. Fallen Angels were a group of people who had the aim of capturing all the Chrono users, no one knows their motive, or how many of them there are, but rumors say they came from the Divine Tribe but were banished, and that they have almost equal power as Chrono users.

The Chrono, I believe, is the cause of everyone's troubles. The Kingdoms are so corrupted with that power that they train their Chrono users or Chronomancers as they are popularly known as, to be ruthless and sadistic. When I was younger, I always prayed to the Divine tribe for the power of the Chrono to correct what I couldn't.

Without thinking, I said to her "It'll be okay, Mrs. Kuro" more emotionally that I intended.

"T-thank you Hara" she stuttered and let out a few tears

I asked myself why would the Fallen Angels would kill Mrs. Kuro's husband, I started to feel this certain surge in my body, normally I ignore things like this, but today it felt different, so I decided to go to the healer of the town for some help, when she took a look at me for a moment she just stared at me awkwardly.

"Is everything alright?" I asked, in an attempt to break the silence, her stare then turned into a shocked one and I stood there confused.

"Y-yes, my son" she finally replied. "N-nothing is wrong with you..." She added

I still felt the surge but the healer is never wrong so I decided to leave back home counting the money I had, still thinking of what to eat. I noticed a large crowd some looking sad and the rest crying, so I decided to go ask what happened.

"Our Chrono user was captured by the Fallen Angels" someone answered.

Now this was devastating news, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Chrono users, but this was very serious. Not having a chrono user would mean that our defences would be vulnerable from an attack from the other two kingdoms. I say other two, instead of three because our Kingdom, Aeldan, had some sort of a bond with Serradia, this bond meant we would freely trade with them and their people would be allowed into our kingdom, or vice versa. The bond also meant that they wouldn't attack us, or help us in case there's an attack.

"How long will it take Wicentram and Adwaydda to hear of this?" I questioned

"They already have by now, we're doomed!" Someone shouted

The healer with the oracle, then pointed towards me in a 'that's-him' kind of way.

I ignored this and decided to leave and buy some food, the money I had could only get me some eggs, and wine, I bought both and left for home.

Oracle's POV

"Your Highness, I know that this is very strange and sudden, but I believe we have another chrono user"

"What?! How is that possible?!" The king responded

"King Odoilith, the boy I saw earlier was showing signs of his power awakening. The prophecy might be true"

"I see... Guards! Bring me this boy!" King Odoilith commanded.

"Yes!" They responded.

Nara's POV

-crack- fuck! rotten egg, what luck I have. -crack- this one's good

-knock- -bang- -bang-

"Who could be knocking my door so hard at this time...?" I asked myself

I opened the door and saw a bunch of guards.

"Come with us" one of them said

"Why, did I do something wrong?" I asked

"The King requests your presence, peasant"

("What could this be about?") I asked myself. I picked up my jacket and went with the guards.

The guards escorted me through the palace to the King, and I bowed.

"Are you the boy called Hara?" the King asked unhesitatingly.

"Yes, Your Highness, that is my name" I answered still not understanding anything that was going on.

Then the oracle spoke, "have you been feeling any different than your usual self lately"

This made me recall the surge I had earlier

"I don't really know, but I did feel different earlier, but the healer said it was nothing"

"Oh but it is something, my child" he said.

"You are a Chrono user, Hara"

These words, shocking, left me in silence.

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading this!
