01. Is it really summer?🍃

Malani's POV

My name is Malani Maha Giordano. I live in New York or as some of you like to call it, "The Big Apple". I'm just a typical girl who goes to school, comes back home, does their homework, falls asleep and repeat.

But this summer all of this changed...

Still Malani's POV

Friday// 6:30 a.m

I woke up to an obnoxious sound coming from my alarm. I slothfully got out of bed and walked down the hall into my kitchen. I immediately saw my older brother, Remy, " Good Morning Remy!" I shouted. I saw him look up abruptly, "Why are you so loud it's 6:30!" Remy announced. "Wow! I didn't know. Sorry captain obvious." I said while flicking him. I quickly made myself a bowl of cereal and got ready for the last day of school.

•After my morning routine

I ran down the stairs and on to the streets. As I was running down the streets I passed many of my friends, "Hey Ché, ready for the last day!" I asked. He looked up from his phone, looked me up and down and smiled at me, "Yeah! Let's go." He said putting his phone in his pocket. We quickly walked over to my best friend, Aurelia's house, who is dating Ché. She was sitting on the stairs, "You guys took long enough!" Aureila rolled her eyes. I ignored her comment and motioned her to hurry up.

AT SCHOOL🎓👏🏽

We got to school 4 minutes before my physics class started. I needed to get to my class quickly because I know Mrs.Hablias doesn't play with lateness. I had a choice to either go the long way to class where everybody crowds the corridor or the short way where all the jocks and popular kids hang out. I wouldn't call myself popular but I'm known. I decided to go the short way. As I was running I bumped into my on and off crush since grade six (6), Raphael, "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!" I apologized. Raphael looked at me up and down and his hazel eyes met my light brown eyes. It felt like we were the only two in the corridor! His curly mixed hair was flowing in the wind  and the lighting made his brown-ish olive skin glow. "It's okay Malani. Where are you going in such a hurry?" Raphael asked enchantingly. "Physics with Mrs.Hablias." I informed him. He laughed a little then stopped. "Don't look back but I think she's walking behind you." He said while laughing. I obviously didn't look behind, waved goodbye to him and ran to class. When I got to class I sat down quickly and started panting. A few minutes later Mrs.Hablias walked in and then Raphael walked in, looked at me and started laughing at me. "Good Morning Mrs!" Raphael said sweetly. She nodded and motioned him to sit next to me. I playfully rolled my eyes and laughed. "What are you doing later on?" Raphael asked. "Nothing, just staying home. Why?" I asked. "Want to go to McDonald's with a bunch of friends?" Raphael asked. I thought for a bit and then nodded.

After school

I ran outside to meet Ché and Aurelia. "Hey guys!" I greeted them. "Hey lani!" They said at the same time. I laughed. "We are going to McDonald's later with Raphael!" I squealed. Aurelia's eyes widened because she knew how much I liked Raphael while Ché gave me an uninterested look . I rolled my eyes at him. "Let's go to my house." I offered.

We quickly ran up stairs and walked into my bedroom. "I'm going to text Raphael asking what time to meet him." I announced. Aurelia clapped. "Okay... Who asked?" Ché asked in a jokingly way. I glared at him then ended up laughing.

Malani: Lani💕🍃                                       

Lani💕🍃: Hey! What time should I meet you guys?

Raphael💙🍃: Aye! Around 6 p.m.

"He said around 6 p.m." I told them. They both nodded. I sat down, looked out the window and sighed.
