"'You spoke a word, and life began. Told oceans where to start and where to end. You set in motion time and space. But still you come, and you call to me by name. Still you come, and you call to me by name. If you can hold the stars in place, you can hold my heart the same! Whenever I fa-'" I was singing, until I was cut off.

"Guess who's your new roomie?" My best friend yelled.

"Ugh, you," I groaned, hoping she wouldn't yell anymore. I walked over to her and flicked her forehead. 'It won't be for long, maybe I can just ride this out until I leave,' I thought.

"Well, I mean, we technically won't be roomies, because you're leaving soon, but oh well!" She shrugged. She set her stuff down on the floor, because I was taking up the bed she would use, trying to pack my belongings up. I finished packing and slung my backpack over my shoulder, leaving my suitcases on the bed for now.I hugged her goodbye and started putting my bags in my white van. Just kidding, calm down, it's black as night. I started humming 'Aha!' by my favorite acapella group, Pentatonix. I got in the car and put a CD in the slot. I hummed the beginning of the song, until the lyrics blasted out of the speakers.

"'Eat. Sleep. And breathe it, you're full of the stuff. Go back and tie it up tight. Wheat-meat-dairy free, teetotal, happy-clappy high on life, you should try it. You should know (you should know) You should know. Go on while no one's looking. A-ha! Caught you now! Caught you red-handed in the biscuit tin! Cost you to keep me quiet.'" I sang with them as I pulled into the parking lot of a hotel. I turned off my car and opened the driver's side door. I strode into the hotel with my backpack and asked for the room with my four other friends. The concierge gave me room 938 and pointed towards the elevators.

Once I was at the door, I knocked. My friend Jake opened the door and pulled me in.

"Okay, who wants to practice?" Sam asked.

"I DO I DO I DO!!!" Pablo screeched. I held my ear until the ringing went away.

      "Why not?" Frank agreed nonchalantly.

"Obviously I don't, otherwise I wouldn't have arrived so early," I deadpanned. We grabbed our instruments and got ready. Sam had bass drum, Frank jazzed the saxophone, Pablo snapped a few drumsticks because he does snare drum so well, Jake was a violin kind of guy, and I played quads and cymbal, sometimes cowbell also.

We practiced a few songs, such as Canto, Final Countdown, and the Funeral March, just in case. After that, we got a permit, and started to play in random places, even getting paid every here and there! On my way home, I realized, I wanted to do this for a living. So I called my parents to tell them, and they were so happy they were crying! So, I used my extra money to get a small house that we could all live in and we ended up making a career out of our favorite hobby.
