I run as fast as my legs will carry me, dodging the trees that stand in my way. My eyes were blurry, my ears useless. I'm driven only by an intense will to live, not daring to stop. I know that if I stop, he'll get me. And he WILL kill me. He will. He won't show any mercy. That's when I hear it. The laughter of an insane man, the laugh that gives children nightmares and keeps people up at night. And it's right behind me, mocking me. I don't dare turn around, for I know what monster is there. As I run, I feel something wet on my waist. Looking down I see blood, lots of blood. I've got a large, gaping cut on my side that's pouring out blood. Then I feel something wet running down my back from my shoulder and fall to the ground. He's got me. It's over. I close my eyes and wait for the inevitable. I feel something sharp being shoved deep into my chest and scream. "HELP ME!!!" I scream, although I know that I'm beyond help. He's already here, watching the life drain out of my body.
"Go to sleep..." He whispers that sinister phrase into my ear and then.... darkness. Pitch black, nothingness, I can't see anything.
My eyes snap open, a shrill scream escaping my dry throat. I pant heavily and clutch my chest, feeling for any cuts that might be there. Nothing. Just another nightmare. My breathing is fast and unsteady, a cold sweat running down my back. I curl up into a ball as small as I possibly can and cry, deciding to let it all out. My hands reach up and entangle themselves into my knotty red hair, my icy blue eyes scanning the room for threats. "The... The same dream a-again..." I murmur to myself, a strangled sigh escaping my lips. Why does this keep happening? I never see his face, but I know who he is. He's always there when I don't want him to be. Whenever I relax, he always appears and kills me in my dreams. It's been happening for about two months now. I've gone to a psychiatrist but they tell me it's just dreams and that I'm worrying to much. That I'm paranoid. They probably think I'm crazy. Well, Natalie Johnson is not fucking crazy! I'll show them. I'll show them that these dreams mean something. Once I see his face, I'll search for him. I'll show them that he exits and that he's trying to kill me.
The door opens slowly, light finding it's way into my dark room. "Nat? Bad dream again?" My roommate, Catherine asks as she walks in and sits on my bed. She's beautiful, like an angel. She has golden blonde hair, porcelain skin and the deepest blue eyes imaginable. But right now, she looks tired and sick. He skin is ghostly white, dark bags underneath her eyes and her hair a bigger mess than my own.
I nod slowly, my voice coming out as a whisper. "Yes... I'll get him. And I'll kill him."

Sorry if it's sucky. I don't really know if my writing style is any good.
