Bright light shone through the window and onto Tyler's face. His alarm clock continued to buzz loudly.
"Ughhhm" Tyler grunted as he pulled the comforter over his head, blocking out the light. Tyler lay there curled up in a ball hesitant to stop the awful buzz. He blindly reached out his hand, hitting air, until finally he found the button on the alarm shutting it off. Tyler groaned as he sat up slowly. His eyes stayed squinted as he looked around the room frowning trying to remember why he was actually awake so early. He rubbed his eyes in an attempt to wake up completely. Then it clicked, and Tyler's eyes widened as he remembered it was the first day of the school year! Tyler sat in disbelief and slowly began to feel a sadness soak into him.
"Well shit." he grunted as he threw l the blanket off of him and got out of bed. He sighed as he began his morning routine. He went to his dresser and pulled out a nicely folded black, long sleeved, button up shirt. He wanted to make sure it would cover his arms. As he thought of this, he looked down at his arms. As he looked at his scars, memories start filling his head. He stopped thinking about them and snapped back into his normal state of mind. He took the shirt by the shoulders and held it up to the sunlight as the shirt unfolded itself. He examined the shirt and he approved it in his head and then proceeded to put the shirt on. Tyler closed the dresser drawer and opened another drawer and pulled out a pair of tan colored skinny jeans and he put those on also. He closed the drawer and left his room. Tyler pounded down the stairs as he made his way into the kitchen, grabbing his backpack and throwing it on one shoulder on the way. He saw a banana on the counter and stared at it for a moment, his eyebrows furrowed, then he quickly swiped it off the counter with his hand. He grabbed an apple from a bowl on the counter that was near the banana and headed outside. The sun was shining down and it was a little chilly but he didn't mind. As Tyler began walking to school he noticed something in the air was different, which confused him. Every morning when walking to school Tyler would acknowledge the beauty around him. So much in fact, that he could notice the slightest difference in his surroundings if something happened to be out of place in the morning. This was not like that, no not like that at all. This little thing that was 'out of place' was pretty noticeable. Mrs. Rodriguez, an older lady who lived down the street from Tyler had passed away recently. And it looked like someone was moving into her house. Tyler glanced over at the house and saw people unloading furniture out of a van. Out of the people he saw a boy, a boy that looked... perfect. So perfect in fact Tyler was put into a daze. The boy had faded platinum blue hair and sparkling brown hazelnut eyes. He had a big, strong body structure, and Tyler thought he looked into pretty good lifting that furniture. 😉 Tyler's eyes followed the boy as he walked across the lawn back to the moving van. The boy made eye contact with Tyler, waved and smiled. Tyler looked away quickly and felt awkward and continued walking. "Fuck..." Tyler grunted and he walked all the way to school thinking about the new neighbor boy and his bright smile. What is his name? Does he go to my school? Where did he come from? Tyler thought to himself on the walk.
⏭TIME SKIP⏭*Finally Tyler's POV*
"This is it." I said to myself as I stood in front of the large building which was my awful school. One last year in Hell, let's see if I can survive another year...🙄 I opened the door to the school and a cool breeze hit my face. I kept my hands tucked in my pants pockets and just continued walking to my locker. My eyes scanned all the different faces. All the new freshmen, new transfer students, old faces, and changed faces. Some of these people would give me a look back, and I didn't think they were giving me good looks. Since people didn't seem to like me looking at them, I continued walking and kept my head down. I started thinking about what people thought about me.
