Why her?

Prologue

It was the first day of 12th grade. I was catching up with all my friends when I sat next to my friend Sydney. I started asking her about her summer when I realized she wasn't interested in talking to me. She was staring at a boy from across the room. His name was Ashton and I'm pretty sure she's liked him since 6th grade.

We were all pretty good friends we talked and stuff. But Sydney never really thought of him that way.

One day her whole life turned around when Ashton wasn't in school. We figured "Oh he's just sick". The next week "He's probably on vacation".

But little did we know..............
