"Maya, Maya are you ready dear?" Maya was in her room packing as she heard the beckoning call from the garage. "I'll be down in a minute, mom!" Maya called as she finished stuffing the last items, a hairbrush, toothbrush, and her phone which, oddly enough didn't work into the pink, purple poke a dotted suitcase she had from so many years ago, when they took their first vacation to Florida. They had gone to Disney when they were there. Maya, could still hear "It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all" in her head, playing on repeat.
A few minutes later Maya appeared in the garage, behind the new shiny as the glass on President Obama's office windows Black Malibu, they bought just a day earlier. Maya tossed her suitcase into the trunk, it sounded as if an elephant marched into the garage. She hopped into the front seat. "Do you have everything you need for the rest of the trip ? The moving van won't be to the new house until Friday." Yeah mom, I got everything.
[ Writers note : This chapter is very short because I just wanted to show Maya moving to California. The rest of the chapters should have around 800 more words then this as this one rings in at 220 words.]
