*[Clint x Reader x Tony (ft. Steve)] Flights of Flirty

Start from the beginning

Tony, of course, came striding into the room like he owned the place, although in retrospect, you supposed he technically did, but that did little to soften the annoyance that suddenly shot out towards him. Clint once again shuffled in behind him. He looked hopeful, which hurt your heart as you could have nipped this in the bud earlier had Tony not decided to act like an idiot. He wasn't acting entitled or anything like Tony, but when he saw Steve sitting there next to you, you could see a little bit of the hope vanish from his eyes.

With your focus on Clint, you didn't realize that Tony was directly in front of you until the book was slipped from your hands, replace by one of his as he pulled you up, spun you around once for show, and then held you tightly against his chest. Steve was a split second from jumping up and getting Tony to let you go, but a glance over your shoulder let him know you had it under control, at least for now.

"You know, I'll forgive you for not getting me chocolates for Valentines Day," he murmured seductively, having you instantly moving your head back as he tried to close the distance, "as long as you give me a taste of something far sweeter."

"Tony," you warned, both hands now pushing fully against his chest, flat out refusing to let his lips get anywhere near yours, "stop it."

Unfortunately, he didn't seem to get the message. "Come on, you don't have to hide your true feelings any longer." With him being stronger than you, it was taking all you had to keep any sort of distance between the two of you, but thankfully in the same moment Steve was at your side pulling you away, Clint was at Tony's side, restraining the determined man while also rebuking him.

"She's said 'no.' What is your problem?"

Tony shrugged him off, straightening down his shirt while pulling in a sense of dignity. "My problem?" he posed. "I know what she really wants, she just has to admit to it."

"Listen, guys," you interrupted, determined to put this whole thing to rest. "I'm flattered." Your eyes flicked briefly to Tony's who raised his brows as if he couldn't possibly know what you were going to say next. "Although in Tony's case I guess I should say I'm more disturbed. Regardless, I'm not going to the party with either of you."

You held your breath for the moment after. It came out a little more unrefined than you would have liked, but Tony's insistence had irritated you straight over the edge until you couldn't hold it in any longer. Clint's reaction was basically what you expected it to be. He looked disappointed but not utterly destroyed or heartbroken. His irritation towards Tony in the moment might have helped lessen the intensity of the blow slightly, but it was Tony's reaction that had you surprised (and slightly worried).

He stood there, as smug as ever, gleaming at you as if he held every secret of the universe in that head of his. You were just working up the bravery to ask him what the look was for, but he broke the silence first. "And just what is keeping you from the destiny that could be us? If you're worried about the notoriety, just know you'll never look anything less than completely irresistible hanging off my arm on the cover of "People" magazine."

"Well, if you must know," you stopped him before he could even begin to think of taking it any further, "it's because I already...have...a date." Your hand reached behind you, latching onto Steve's to pull him up beside you. Clint's eyes widened, although the reveal didn't seem too shocking even for him, but again, Tony simply smiled at you, the smug look apparently permanent.

"Well I must say, he announced, the annoying and forced seductive tint to his voice suspiciously gone in a split second, "that was easier than I imagined it to be."

Your eyes widened, glancing over to Steve, but he seemed just as surprised. Turing back to an even more self proud Tony, you blurted, "You knew?"

He pulled a face, as if it should have been obvious to anyone. "This is my tower. I like to think I know what goes on in it."
