The Girl Nobody Had

The Rumor

"Have you seen her yet? She is beautiful." Tom said with a whisper as if everyone would hear the secret.
I gazed off not wanting to know at all. I didn't have any excitement about this new girl coming. I have already heard she is drop dead beautiful and mysterious. Finding this out helped my self esteem so much!
"Sophie, she looks kind of like you I have to say." My friend Josie murmured as she sat down to eat her fake salad from the school cafeteria.
"I don't really care. She is new, whoopy doo, I don't really care so stop talking about it!" I yelled back.
"Geez, what have gotten into you?" She answered.
"I just... it is just too much to even think of right now. We have finals coming up, I don't need a distraction. This shouldn't be a distraction anyway! It's just a random girl!" I barked.
Tom and Josie was staring at me as if I threw a brick wall at the new trophy the soccer team just won. I didn't understand what was so interesting about a new girl coming into town. Josie was that new girl two years ago. It wasn't such a big deal.
"Yes, she is Russian and I am too but Josie you're Italian and so is Emmy. It's not a big deal?" I exclaimed to clear the dust away.
"True, but you're not just Russian. You're..."
"Stop it. I know. You don't have to say it." I interrupted.
"Okay, okay. I understand." Tom remarked.
As we ate our lunch, she came in. The new girl came in and I couldn't keep my eyes away. She did look a lot like me and it gave me chills down my spine. I could feel her icy blue eyes glaring at me. That connection couldn't be more terrifying me.
"There she is." Tom whispered.
"I have to go. Um, I am not feeling well." I answered.
I got up quickly and ran to the bathroom.
"Must be a Russian thing." Tom laughed back to Josie.
