Of course, since Ash's mom was killed, Ash went home early with Kierra. When she got home, she walked in and saw her dad and brother at the table crying with Ash's school bag on the table. Nidoran is first to notice she's home with a boy.
"If you hadn't yelled at mom, she wouldn't have been so angry and crashed! You caused her death! You selfish person! And now you bring a boy home?" Nidoran shouts.
"Sit down! You think I wanted her to die? Don't blame this on me! And he's here because he was the only one so far besides Mrs. Lion and Dad who hasn't told me her death was my fault. He's been comforting me! You're the selfish one!" Ash screams back. She storms upstairs with Kierra's hand intertwined with Ash's. Kierra is pulled up the stairs and he looks back at Nidoran and Ash's dad.
"I'm so sorry for your loss Mr. Pika. I'll be good to Ash." Kierra says.
"Thanks son." Mr. Pika says. "And please, call me Litleo."
"Sure thing Litleo. Gosh Ash. Is your family the creators of Pokémon? Was your mom's name Growlithe?" Kierra asks. Litleo laughs as he watches Kierra go up the spiral stairs on his back asking questions.
"Actually, her name was Eevee." Ash replies.
"Oh my god." Kierra says. "What are your pet’s names?" He asks.
"Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Mew, Snorlax...." Ash's voice fades from Litleo's ears. Litleo chuckles.
"You honestly like him?" Nidoran asks appalled.
"He's nice. Why do you care Nidoran? You know Ash brought him home for a reason." Litleo replies.
"And what is that reason Dad? To turn herself into a slut to forget mom?" Nidoran says furiously.
"Go to your room now! She brought him home because he cares! Why are you calling her selfish for bringing him home? Right after I told you mom died in the crash, you cried for a few minutes and asked to use you're Xbox! Go to your room now! No TV, Xbox, phone, or computer. No electronics!" Litleo yells. Upstairs, Ash hears the whole conversation and sobs. She drops to her knees and puts her head in her hands. Kierra walks over to her and puts his arms around her.
"It's okay. Please don't cry." Kierra picks her up. Ash's legs dangle from his biceps and his arm is around her back. Ash is immediately warm when she puts her hand on his chest. Kierra lays Ash down and puts the soft Pikachu blanket over her. He lays down next to her and brings her closer. He kisses her on the lips. "God Ash. You're freezing." Ash puts her head down and lifts her hand onto his chest again and starts to warm up. An hour passes and Ash wakes up. Kierra is fast asleep and Nidoran is in the doorway shaking his head.
"He cares for me Nidoran. Stop shaking your head. Get out." Ash says.
"You're so selfish." Nidoran has pushed Ash's soul with the 'you're so selfish' bullshit one to many times.
"I'm selfish?!" Kierra is startled awake by Ash's scream. Ash stands up and walks over to her brother. "I'm the selfish one?! I heard that conversation about how you asked to go on your Xbox right after your own MOTHER died! I'm not the selfish one here!" Ash screams.
"You're such a bitch Ash!" Nidoran's words rip right into Ash's core. She slaps him.
"EXCUSE ME! You do not call me that!" Ash's slap has caused Nidoran's face to bleed because of her nails. She tries to pick him up so she can lock him in his room, but as she reaches for him, she feels a piercing pain around her nose. Nidoran kicked her in the face and now has broken her nose. Kierra goes after Nidoran.
"STOP! That was too far little boy." Kierra picks him up and brings him into his room and locks him in passing Litleo on the way. "Can you go make sure Ash is okay? Nidoran just kicked her in the face hard. There's a lot of blood. I think he broke her nose." Kierra asks.
"I will and make sure you unplug his Xbox, Laptop, Phone, and iPod." Litleo says glaring at Nidoran.
"Sure thing." Kierra replies. He after about 15 minutes, he's done unplugging everything and walks outside of Nidoran's room to find Ash at the table and Litleo on the phone with the ambulance. He puts all the electronics on the table and then hears a Nidoran scream.
"You deserved it!" He looks over and finds Nidoran on Ash hitting her on the head. Kierra rams into Nidoran like a bull. He pushes him into his room and locks the door. He runs over to Ash.
"Are you okay? Do you need anything?" He asks gently stroking her head.
"I'm fine. I have a headache. I could use aspirin, a cold drink of water, an ice pack, and a kiss. I don't need much though." She says smiling. They both laugh and then Kierra kisses her forehead for about 5 seconds and then goes into the kitchen and comes back with the aspirin, ice pack, and cold water.
What a gentleman... Litleo thinks to himself watching the whole thing.
