Chapter 1: The hooded baseball bat man

I smacked my alarm as it fell of my bedside table. Ugh another day of school. I thought. Great!
Suddenly a loud bang came from my door.

"Emma, get up and get dressed!" My mum shouted. I groaned and sat up. I looked around my purple wall painted room and sighed. I really didn't want to go to school. Every day I do something good in class, someone yells out 'geek'. It really annoying. I mean I know I'm sort of smart but do they really have to keep on saying it over and over again?
Obviously!

So I got up, had a shower and got dressed. Soon I was outside and walking to school. Moments later my best friend, Taylor was next to me. I smiled at her. Ever since her brother was kidnapped she hasn't been outside, scared to death that something might happen to her. Taylor smiles weakly back.
"Hey. You ready for school?" I ask her. She sighs but nods. We head in.

The day rolled by pretty quickly and soon it was lunch. I looked across our table and saw Nicole Hollyfrock. She was in tears and sniffling all over the jocks. I rolled my eyes, she's not the one who should be in tears. Apparently Nicole and Nathan, Taylor's brother, have been going out and now she's crying about him. Great!

I looked at Taylor and her hands were clenched in fists. I put my hands on hers and smiled.
"It's going to be okay, Tay. The police are going to find out who did this and lock them up." I looked her straight in the eye. So did Taylor. "Okay?" I heard her sigh.
"Okay." I grinned in achievement and she smiled back. I did a little cheer and she burst into giggles.
"That'a girl." I pat her on the back. "So I was thinking-" I heard her groan. I frowned.
"You thinking is very bad, Em." She smiled. I gently slapped her arm.
"Anyway, so I was thinking that this weekend we could have a girls night. Just me and you. Sleepover and the best thing ever."

"MOVIE MARATHON!" I cheered. I heard her laugh. Then Taylor nodded her head.
"Yes a movie marathon is what I need."
"Good because if you'd said no well I'll be dragging you to my house. Literally." The conversation ended with both of us laughing.

It was the end of the day and I had just gone to my locker. Then I walked out side and found a big surprise. It was raining! It was FREAKING RAINING! I have to walk 30 minutes in this. Well I'm doomed. My mum always wants me to be home for 4:30. And it's a 30 minute journey! Reason for this is because my mum needs to go get my little siblings from school BUT my little sister does ballet and my little brother does football. AND my mum doesn't trust me with a key. Which I find very offensive. So I'm standing outside under the canopy of the school waiting for my mum to pick me up.

That's when I hear a honk. I look at the blue car suspiciously. That isn't mums car. I thought. I slowly walked towards it then stopped. I'm so stupid. It's always in the movies that the character goes near the mysterious car then gets kidnapped. So you know what I did? I went the opposite direction. I turned around and walked away. It wasn't until I heard footsteps behind me that I stopped and turned my head.

Behind me was a hooded man. With a baseball bat. I mean come on a baseball bat! Really! I laughed silently. Focus, Emma. Focus. I quickly ran. I heard him laugh then run after me. I really wanted to scream but something inside of me said not to and also because i was running out of breath. I would have to stop soon.

My legs burned and my chest tightened. I was going to stop when I felt hands on my waist and they pulled me up. That's when panic kicked in. I began to thrash and kick about. Trying to scream but it only coming out as a duck noise.

The hooded baseball bat man, pulled me into his car. Oh no this is just like the movies where the character gets put to sleep. I kicked him and screamed as loud as I could but nothing worked. Then I felt pain in my arm. It worked quickly through my body till I became numb. My eyes became heavy and I didn't really think the hooded baseball bat man would mind.

So I closed my eyes.

So this is my first story on Wattpad. Please don't judge because it's really bad. But so far it's actually going okay. The title of the chapters might give some bits away but not all. I hope. 😨
