She breathed in deep.

"I believe this is the hardest thing I'll ever do" she said eyes flicking to his for a second then finding a patch on the floor to stare at. Her arms shook despite of the warm weather.

"Look. I like you... I really like you. I like the way your eyes light up when your happy, I like the unbelievably infectious way you laugh- she took a risk at looking at him and was rewarded with a smile "you're so caring to other people and.. well...I like your hands." He laughed at that, holding his hand to his stomach "excuse me?" he said visibly amused.

"your hands" she said simply taking one of his hands and holding it in hers. "You have nice hands" she said smiling  up at him.

He seemed to take a minute to digest this and for a moment she felt like she'd made an awful mistake.

"No matter" she said crestfallen, letting go of his hand "If you will excuse me, I'll get started on digging a hole to China, should be there in time for lunch" She said making a graceful movement to get up but whimpered slightly as a hand caught her wrist bringing her back down.

He wrapped his strong arms around her small frame "don't you dare" he whispered, not letting go.

I don't know how long they were sat like that, but finally she found her voice "So, It's the same for you too?" and at that he smiled at her and nodded.
