The Plan

Chapter One

Riley is sitting on her couch reading a book as the doorbell rings. She gets up and answers it. It turns out to be Josh but he isn't alone, there is a girl next to him.

"Hey Uncle Josh!" Riley says as she hugs him. "Who is this?"

"Um this is... my new girlfriend, Katherine." Josh stutters as he gets done hugging Riley.

"Oh is she now? Well it's nice to meet you Katherine." Riley smiles.

"You too! We are gonna be great friends!" Katherine exclaimed as she hugged Riley.

Meanwhile at the Hart apartment, Maya is in her room about to leave but then Katy stops her. (she and shawn aren't married just an fyi)

"Hey Maya. I have to tell you something really important."

"Mom, I have to go Riley's, i'll be home later and then you can tell me."

"But Maya this can't-"

"Okay bye!" Maya crawls out of her window and goes to Riley's.

Katy sighs.

As Maya comes through their door she says,"What up losers."

Riley comes running to her. "Peaches! Why don't we go now? We don't want to be late now do we?" Riley says so Maya doesn't see Josh with Katherine.

"No I'm really hungry, let's go eat." She says as she passes Riley. She stops her tracks as she sees Josh with Katherine.

"You know Riles you're right, we'll be late if we don't go now." Maya says.

Riley looks at her sadly. "Come on."

Maya grabs Rileys hand and walks out the door.

As they enter Mr. Matthews class, Maya had a sad look on her face that draws Lucas' attention.

As Maya sits down Lucas nudges her shoulder and says, "Are you okay?"

"Not really. Josh has a new girl friend. Her name is Katherine." Maya says as a tear rolls down her face.

"Oh my god, Maya. I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. It's not a big deal."

Before he responds the bell rang and Mr. Matthews came into the room with his briefcase.

After class was done Maya walked out almost immediately. But then Lucas caught up to her.

"Maya, wait!"

Maya turns around. "What?"

"I have an idea."

"And what would that be huckleberry?"

"How about we make him jealous?"

"And how we do that?" Maya scoffed.

"I can pretend to be your boyfriend.

At first Maya thought it was ridiculous but then the more she thought of it the more it sounded brilliant. This is the perfect plan to make Josh jealous.

"Okay. I'm in." Maya smiled.
