Jung Hyeji's life was as messy as her natural curls and was in pieces like her mentality. She often took a brisk moment to question her own sanity sometimes, and wondered what she had done wrong in her previous life to deserve such an extraordinarily ordinary trend. Been a model? Done that — though she was too short to be a runaway type, yet her delicate hand qualified to be displayed on boards. Aced her grades? Never got lower than B — though not even higher. Loved by her decent average social network.
Then what was wrong to allow her to sit on her seat with her hands covering her face with her curls?
"You know, outside you are not as sweet as you are with your inner circle,"
Hyeji's puppy eyes blinked — obviously the self-claimed sweetie could not grasp a single meaning. Tilting her head to a side, she listened. "You intimidate most of my friends. You have that tough image everyone's so scared of."
With her cheeks, her curls, the way she dressed — who could believe she was scary at all? Her eyebrows arching higher, she did not seem to believe. "Just cause you are wearing pastel colors does not make you look like a pure child." Even then Hyeji gave her the look. It was plastered all over her features; an emotionless expression that buried you alive. Probably the reason why no one really approached her, and that her life was boring to an impossible extent. Shrugging, she decided not to believe, but the suspense was already itching at the back of her mind.
"Don't think about it too much, your head will explode. Still on that matter?"
Sliding from the repetition of that nightmare, she glanced blankly back at her classmate. She remembered meeting her on the very first day; the other girl examining her curls very closely, and immediately pulling to test for reality. They were friends since then, yet no one could be sure, even Hyeji herself, about the sincerity of her friendship. Honestly, Hyeji could hear the hissing her friend made in certain situations. Snake.
"Look if you don't believe me, let's ask someone else. How about him? Hey Junseo! Junseo, look here."

Dumbfounded, both Hyeji and Junseo, being only acquaintances stared at each other. It wasn't really necessary, the professor would be there in a couple of minutes and Junseo's opinion wouldn't really convince her, would it? She offered a frown at the boy, a reflection of her displeased state. "What do you think of Hyeji?"
— What? You sound like you are searching for a date for me. — No, I mean, you said you would shave my head if I did, but this was a friendly question. I'm running a poll, you see. — A poll?
Neither of the two had time for such a nonsense. In fact, it was a surprise that the boy hadn't turned around yet. Maybe he was offended that Hyeji did not even look straight at his face. No, it wasn't because the girl was shy or that she fell in love with him at first sight — Hyeji straight up ignored people when she was not interested in talking to them. A bad habit that she wasn't aware of.
"I don't care."
With that, he excused himself from the seemingly pointless poll. Hyeji, too, was relieved the case was closed, and it was found to be insignificant by another individual. She was whom she was — she couldn't hide her emotions towards others. If she was sick of your ideas about how to pay much attention for homeless puppies — because there were people dying out there, you couldn't come up with such a campaign could you? — she would show it. End of it.
"Oh, okay, I forgot that he was not the friendliest. I am not carrying this any further, fine. Mind you, it wasn't me. The one that is bothered greatly by it."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I wasn't the only contemplating about my image for about half an hour. You okay?"
"I am fine. I don't care what others think of me."
Of course, neither Junseo nor her friend had noticed the crumpled paper in her fist.

Hello, this is Pinkie with thrash Applyfics! Since I am very very VERY inactive and can't deal with many applicants, but since I love to do these, I came up with the strangest Applyfic. idea! At the end of each — though sometimes there might not be one which means you can't apply for the story at the moment — chapter, you'll see a Next Up post, which gives a brief idea of a character! It means you can apply with a character that somehow goes along smoothly with the story.
Forms are a free for all, but MIND THE DO-NOT LIST;; - DO NOT MAKE YOUR CHARACTER SO YOUNG BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AROUND UNIVERSITY AGE. - UHM AVOID OVERUSED FACECLAIMS? - YES YOUR CHARACTER CAN HAVE A LOVE INTEREST.
