Before you start I want you to know that I fully and completely respect the decision to keep romance out of Rogue One. There is perfect reasoning for it and it is part of what makes the movie so amazing.

"Heroines are not hard to come by. We've grown up with them; after all, every Disney princess is a heroine in her own way. But for most of our lives, we've watched those Disney princesses claim her (because up until now, it's always been a her) happily ever after with Prince Charming, reinforcing the idea that love is the end goal. And we still see this today in movies that have undeniably strong female characters; for every Katniss, there is a Peeta. And we've become so accustomed to seeing romance on screen, to being told that "love conquers all," to believing that love is more important than anything else. Romantic love is sometimes not the end goal, and it should not necessarily be the thing that outweighs all other desires. Because Jyn does not have a romantic trope, she's able to define the movie on her own terms. Rogue One is her story; and she doesn't need to "have it all" to be a hero. And the fact that the creators of Rogue One deliberately did not introduce a romantic story into the plot tells us loud and clear that there's much more to life than needing a relationship." -TeenVogue.com

So my story is in no way bashing what they have done, but merely expanding Jyn and Cassian's relationship without making the causing the movie to be anti feministic.

I went to see Rogue One the day it came out and as the credits rolled I was in tears. The movie was literally so incredible I could not get over it.

But.

I was frustrated.

I saw something between Jyn and Cassian (whether it was intended or not) and I was completely shocked that nothing came of it especially right before they died.

So I decided right then and there (standing in the midst of the crowd waiting in line to walk in to see the movie) that I was going to write a story. A story of what WOULD'VE happened if Jyn and Cassian had survived.

My goal here is to stay realistic. I will not pull some crazy outlandish explanation as to how they survive, nor will I skip over how it will happen.

No. I am taking my time with this. I am beginning with Rogue One's entry into Scarif's atmosphere because I want you to see everything. The entire connection between Jyn and Cassian, and although it may not have began there, it is a good place to start.

To do this I will be translating the entire end of the movie onto these pages. So no complaining about how I haven't gotten to the progression of their story yet because I do have a plan.

Also, don't dwell on how I got a hold of the exact dialogue and details just know... "Many Bothans died to bring us this information so you can experience the movie again..."

My updating schedule right now will be, write as much as I possibly can before I leave my great grandmother's because as soon as I get home I go back to real life and work and show choir and school and stress and that makes for very random updates. (:

Also, usually I include and embed a lot of pictures and gifs in my chapters to help create an image for the story, but that is sorta difficult right now considering the movie literally just came out.... So I'm sorry in advance.
