There was a girl Marissa (14 years old, only child, and lives with her mom Freshmen in high school) she didn't have many friends she stuck to herself and her online friends. Her online friends she didn't know in person, but she knew them and she'd developed an emotional connection with somthing she can't do with people in person.
One night she decided to message this guy on his Facebook, his name was Mark; he lived in Canada several hours away he was 18 and very attractive....
Marissa: Hey I know I don't know you but im just looking for friends...
Mark: Heyyy what's up?
Marissa: nothing hbu?
Mark: nothing just chilling baked asf
Marissa: niceee i wish i could be high rn lol
As the days went on she developed an emotional connection with him. She slowly started to fall in love with him; maybe because the constant flirting. They would write long paragraphs to each other and talk all day about anything and everything.
One day marissa was informed mark doesn't have a phone anymore. He would message her anytime he could get ahold of one. Soon the conversations started too look more flirtatious.
Marissa: Hey hot stuff
Mark: Heyyy beautiful what's up?
Marissa: Oh nm being bored hbu.
Mark: nm talking to this beauty😍
Marissa: thanks i love you so much😍😍
Mark: i love you too!!😘❤
This became serious to marissa he became her reason to wake up every morning, the person that stops her from going off on everyone, the guy that helps you get through life. It got so serious she would turn down guys for him, and she even told her family about him.
She was planning on asking him out.... and she did it. Mark responded with "i love you so much but I've been hurt so many times before let's not rush into things" marissa was upset but she respected that.
Marissa couldn't help the way she felt about Mark. She would message him when she was in school it made her feel safe, it was just her and him when she was talking to him. She said everyone else around her out she was deeply in love, she couldn't even think of the thought of her without him.
One day she decided to confront him about her feelings. She told him she loved him and she wanted more than a friendship.... he replied saying sorry but he lost feelings he didn't love her anymore. At first she couldn't believe it, she thought he was different. She broke down and couldn't take it so she grabbed a knife and.....
She ended up in a hospital wondering why she didn't just kill herself he was so devastated.
When he returned to school the sense of loneliness she felt was indescribable. Someone mentioned his name in the lunchroom she broke down screaming and crying she teacher had to pull her out. All the memories came back and she ended up back in the hospital....
