"When I die, don't write RIP on my tombstone. I don't want to rest in peace, I want to be frickin' amazing. Even in the afterlife." stated Maylah Eve cooly. She has never been the type of girl to simply lie down and watch some good old television or go shopping with some girl friends.
Maylah was a trouble maker. Whatever corner she turned, there was trouble to make, and she made it.
People even started up things with her, just from her appearance. Her dark skin and frizzed hair gave off the bad impression. Along with her styling choice of a torn, black, leather jacket and jeans.
But Maylah wasn't all for her looks. She was, in fact, a decent person. Many people just failed to see that because they won't even be in her presence without trembling in their shoes and running to hide.
"You're so stupid, Maylah. Who said you were amazing now?" laughed Chad Mullins. He was the absolute opposite of Maylah.
His blonde hair was messy, his light blue-grey eyes shone perfectly when the sunlight hit them the right way, and he was always wearing a button up shirt and ironed pants that were baggy on his lanky legs. He wasn't too keen on getting in trouble, and he tended to avoid anything that was a bad influence. I mean, besides Maylah.
"Just focus on the road, you dork." Maylah slapped his arm and smiled, looking back at the road.
They were on their way home after an exhausting trip to the fair. It was 10 pm and hardly anything was visible.
Not even the van that was headed in their direction. The driver, who was obviously drunk, had forgotten to put on their head lights.
"Chad!" Maylah screamed, pushing herself further into the seat to avoid impact.
She closed her eyes tight, and the last thing she ever saw, was that damned horrified look on Chads face.
