//first time writing a wolfstar fic don't let me flop.//

Remus Lupin wasn't much to take in, for reasons not written across his face. Though his rather peculiar looks, people wrote him off as a sort of beige person. The only people who saw the real extent of his personality were his close friends. And his usual coffee barista, whom he always told a tad bit too much information to. Ah, yes. He was closest to Lily, wasn't he? He outed himself to her by being rather unbeige and gasping at a cute boy reading on the sofa of the Starbucks at which Lily worked. Lily, of course, didn't care.

Remus' peculiar looks weren't categorised by his tall and lanky body, his habit of wearing baggy potato sack sweaters that swallowed his entire frame, or is unkempt mop of sandy hair. No, his peculiar looks were all sold by the amount of scars littering him. The one that stood out the most just happened to spread nearly the width of his face. He also had one across one of his eyebrows, two small ones coming from the left underside of his chin two his cheek. He also has a rather long one crossing his neck and a smaller one following as so. There's more, but we dont have the time of day to cover them all. And neither does Remus. Remus hates these vile marks of healing. He can't cover them or make them look less ghastly. He can only silently loath them and ignore that they exist and act like onlookers to his face don't gawk and point. It's tiresome, right?

Remus doesn't loiter on his appearance all that often, though. His main concern was gaining shopfront for his book shop. Which he did. Lucky him.

People don't swarm his store, but his employees and Lily love it.

"We're going to deck this place out." Lily said, wandering the empty shelves that would soon be stocked with a multitude of books. "I'm thinking we do what we did to your bedroom." Remus looked up from his place behind the linoleum counter.

"Fairy lights and all?" Peter chuckled from his place on top of the counter.

"Yes, of course! Who would we be if we left those out?" Lily replied. Remus scoffed and rounded from behind the counter to the load of beaten cardboard boxes.

"Worry about decorating when our shop has actual books on the shelf." Remus threw open the first cardboard box. Despite the abysmal look to the box itself, the books inside were in mint condition. This box contained many of the same copies of books and journals. Lily peered over to the box, looking at it's contents. Remus grabbed a pile of Milk and Honey and placed them on the counter. He turned to grab more as the bell and the door chimed.

"You are such a hipster, Rem." Peter commented, looking at the two honey bees on the matte cover.

"And you're just realising this now?" Said a voice from the door. Everyone turned to look at the person speaking. "I mean, he opened a book shop." Marlene chortled. Remus sighed and grabbed another pile of books from the box. This time the books being Diary of an Oxygen Thief. Remus didn't make much noise as he began to unpack the rest.

"I'll start putting your books on the shelf." Marlene said as she glanced around the pile, noticing very few books she recognized.

"That'd be nice." Remus replied, standing straight to stretch. "I'm going to get a coffee."

"You've already had one!" Peter said loudly. Marlene gave him a scrutinizing look.

"You can never have too much coffee, Pete." Lily said reproachfully. The two girls and Remus nodded. Peter looked just off of confused.

"You're going to clog your arteries with all this caffeine." He said wistfully. Remus exhaled strongly through his nose, kind of bull-like in fashion.

"Bugger off, Pettigrew." Marlene shouted from the far side of the shop, her arms filled with poetry books.

"More like Pettygrew." Lily jived. Remus guffawed as Peter went pink in the face. Remus reached for his wallet, but Lily smacked his hand as it approached the leather pocket. "I'm paying, don't bother." Lily orated. Remus looked rather offended, but together they left for coffee.
