You remind me of a simpler time when stress was but a mystery when nights were spent in a warm blanket watching movies. Now, I disregard your beauty, for these times are filled with much more. It is hard to take a minute to let your shade take over me as I dream of climbing your branches as I once did as a child. The scrapes you gave me to remind me that nothing is perfect. My life is blinded to all your imperfect beauty that remains day to day. Through wind and rain, you still stand the tallest and strongest you can be, basking in the sunlight. Your branches, filled with the homes of creatures that you protect like a mother, stretch to the sky where the clouds give you fear of your leaves being hidden from us down here even if we don't appreciate them. But, there are days when you are grateful for those clouds. Those clouds block the sun from you when you are tired of being in the spotlight because with your greatness comes tremendous stress. This is the last lesson that you can teach me or anyone else; Don't let the unnecessary things in life bring you down, but it is okay to have the days where you want to hide. Life is meant to be enjoyed, therefore, one should take the time to climb your branches and let life go by as they watch from above in peace even if they know when they climb back down they will be consumed by the masses of those who want to climb but can't because they carry too much with them.
