It All Started With A Lie

Chapter 1

Jace POV

"Jace, wake up, Victor's here !!" I heard my mother shout from downstairs. I groaned but didn't move.
"Jace !!" She yelled again.
"What ?!" I shouted back getting a little annoyed.
"You get you butt down stairs right now or you're not going to get food from me for the rest of this week !!" She shouted making me jolt out of bed and ran downstairs.
"I'm here, i'm here." I said rubbing my eyes while walking downstairs. I looked up and say Victor standing by the door with a smile on his face trying to hold in his laughter. I glared at him but then smiled when the smell of pancakes hit my nose.
"Yay, pancakes !!" I said happily and ran to the kitchen with Victor following behind.

"Morning sweety." My mom said acting like nothing happened a while ago. I gave her a "why are you looking at me like that" look and she just smiled n kissed my forehead before walking out of the kitchen.
"Have a nice day with Vick. Take good care of my baby today Victor." She said and kissed his cheek.
"I will Mrs. Johnson." He said smiling at her.
"Good." She said and walked out the door.

I looked at the pancakes and licked ny lips. Though, I had a weird feeling in my stomach telling me to not to eat the pancakes but being the moron I was I dug in. As soon as the taste hit my tongue I moaned at how tasty it was.

This isn't so bad. I thought.

My eyes widened as a burning sensation took form in my mouth.
"Shit !!" I screamed and got up from the chair breathing heavily. Victor stood there trying to hold in his laughter. I glared at him and ran over to the sink spitting the pancakes out of my mouth and quickly opened the pipe and began to drank water. When the burning sensation left, I relaxed n closed the pipe. I looked at Victor with a glare while he stood there whistling like he didn't know anything.

"Why was my mouth burning ?!" I asked.
"What ? I don't know what you're talking about." He said trying and hold back his smile. I glared again and walked over to him while he took steps back.
"Victor." I said.
"Hmmm ?" He replied.
"Victor." I said again dragging the "o".
"Ok, ok, your mom and I decided to put hot sause in your pancakes." He said and lifted his hands in surrender getting ready for me to hit him.
"Seriously ?" I asked in disbelief. He put down his hands and looked at me.
"Aren't you gonna hit me ?" He asked. I shook my head.
"No." I said.
"Why ? But I did that to you." He said pointing at my mouth.
"So, i'll just get you and my mother back thats all." I said walking up stairs leaving him there scared like a little baby.

"Jace, get back here." He said when he snapped out of his trance and ran after me. I ram into my room and just as I was about to close the door, he lifted me up and threw me on the bed and closed the door.
"Now, what do you mean you're gonna get us back ?" He asked. I blinked twice before saying,
"I-I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh you know exactly what i'm talking about." He said before walking over to me and climbed on the bed.
