Rain [Souza Samonji]

Hyorin's Umbrella inspired me to write this song so do listen to it while reading~

It has been a few weeks since Souza arrived in the citadel and it seems like he has gotten used to his new life, however, his brothers knew him better and they are aware that he is still haunted by his past.He referred himself as a bird locked in a cage, he was treated as a trophy rather than a companion, because of this he thinks that his present master, (y/n), will be the same, wanting him as a trophy for their conquest. Despite all of this he still respects her to a certain extent, after all she is his new master.

(y/n) was fully aware that Souza is still traumatised by his past and that he does not fully trust her yet, and she was determined to show that he had nothing to be afraid of, but this will be a difficult task as Souza does not fully trust her and thinks that there is nothing that they have to discuss unless it is about their expedition or other work related things. (y/n) have tried countless times to strike a conversation with Souza but it was deemed futile as he will only give her a short reply or no replies, times like this makes her reevaluate why she's doing what she's doing, but the more she thinks about it the more determined she gets.

One morning, (y/n) was awoken by the sound of thunder hm? Is it raining? (y/n) went out of her room to find out that it was raining so heavily that everybody probably had to stay indoors.

"Master? It's raining very heavily today, I think we would have to cancel all outdoor activities until the rain settles down" Hasebe said

"Yes, tell everybody to stay indoor until the rain has settled down, alright let's head down for breakfast shall we?~" (y/n) replied with a soft smile.

Both walking towards the dining hall for breakfast. Once they reached the dining hall a delicious smell hit her nose it's always nice to start the morning eating breakfast with my beloved swords thinking about them always makes her happy. When everybody was about to start digging into the delicious food Sayo realised that his brother Souza was missing.

"Master, Souza is not here yet"

"That's weird, I'll go check up on him, you guys can start without us"

Without a reply (y/n) went to Souza's room to check if he was alright that's weird doesn't he always accompany Sayo and Kousetsu? Is he feeling unwell or something? Finally she arrived outside his room.

"Souza? It's me (y/n) I'm coming in"

When she went in she found Souza curled up in one corner, it looked like he was afraid of something, while she was walking towards him the floor made a creak sound which surprised him, realising that it was just his master he started to feel a little embarrassed.

"Souza are you alright? It's breakfast we're waiting for you"

"Oh sorry I didn't know I'll get-" //BOOM//

Souza quickly went back into his curled position and trembled in fear.

"Souza are you scared of thunder?"

He nodded in reply, (y/n) chuckled softly and crouched down to his level and embraced him in hopes that he will relax a little

"Shhh it's alright" she whispered while rubbing his back

Souza was surprised by her action, he didn't think that she will ever try to comfort him and as much as he hates to admit it he felt safe in her arms.

While this was happening, the other swords were outside the door watching the scene and decided that they should head back before they get noticed.

Maybe...she is different....
