Prologue

Ran's POV

I tried waking him but he won't open his eyes.
"Shinichi? Shinichi are you alright?" I said.
He was unconscious.
Maybe you're confused, what has happened and why Shinichi remains unconscious? Well, thieves went to the diner me and Shinichi were having our dinner at.
He tried to stop them and they shot him.
I was already sobbing.
Shinichi's not breathing.
And the ambulance isn't even here yet.
"Shinichi wake up! Wake up Shinichi!" I said, tears rolling down my cheeks. "If you don't wake up I will kill you!" I said once more. "Shinichi! No, Shinichi. You're not leaving, Shinichi please! Don't die on me."
I continued sobbing..

A few minutes later..
The ambulance came..
They took Shinichi.
They took him.
Dad then arrived.
He took me and we both went back to the agency.
"Why are you so late? It's been 20 minutes, Shinichi wasn't breathing. Thieves surrounded the diner. And you're not even there!" I said. Furious.
"I'm sorry, Ran." He said. "We can't go there yet. Our station was blocked. I was at the police station remember? Inspector Megure has something to talk about."
"And?"
"Excuse me."
"And? Is it so important for your talk with Inspector Megure?! While one life is already at the edge of death?!" I said. "I don't know to you dad, but if Shinichi dies, I will blame you and make sure you live on hell your whole life."
I said as I entered the agency. I quickly ran to my bedroom.
'Shinichi!' My mind hit me. 'Why? Why do you have to.. Act like the real Holmes and get shot?'
I started sobbing again a minute later..
'I hope you live Shinichi.' I whispered.
I lay my head back to the pillows and closed my eyes..

Insp. Megure's POV
Shinichi Kudo. The great detective, Holmes' apprentice, has died.
I removed my hat from my head. Revealing my bald hair.
Tears started rolling down my cheeks.
The once 17-year old boy detective has died.
The world cannot know this.
Shinichi's death must be sacred.
And whoever did this must pay.
'Sorry, Ran.'
'Sorry, The Kudos.'
'Sorry, Shin-chan. Must be revenged. The young detective must commit vengeance towards his death.'
But this has to end.

Later that night...

<<Third Person's POV>>
Shinichi Kudo, the young detective has died.
But not as everyone knew.
Later that night, two men in black took Shinichi's corpse and operated him, and given him a new antibiotic.
Which caused the young detective live again,
But he doesn't remember anything.
