Sylvie was anxious. Antonio had called her and asked if she wanted to go out this weekend when neither of them were on shift. She had asked Gaby for advice, but Gaby told her to just go with the flow. Sylvie sighed. She was pacing around, and she never paced. She grabbed her cell and texted Antonio.

-Hey... uh... what should I wear?

She hit send and began pacing again. She jumped when her phone chimed. She grabbed it and couldn't help but snicker when she read his response.

-Clothes.

-Wise guy, huh? You didn't tell me where we're going.

She waited for his next response.

-Nothing fancy

-You are the vaguest man I've ever dated.

-It's called a surprise, babe. ;) See you in 20.

Sylvie tossed her phone on the bed and went back to her closet. She really had no idea what to wear and she didn't have a roommate to ask her opinion anymore either. She pulled open the door. "Hi."

Antonio was grinning. "Hey, yourself. Glad to see you decided on an outfit."

Sylvie slapped his shoulder. "I don't think running around naked is a wise choice."

"Very true." He gently kissed her cheek. "You ready?"

She blushed. "Just gotta put some boots on."

Antonio looked down. "Well, it is a little chilly to go out barefoot."

"You are just full of snippy comments today, aren't you?"

"I am... but, I'm also really wanting to go out on this date with a really awesome paramedic."

"I'm comin'. I'm comin'." Sylvie slid her boots on and did up the zipper. "Let's go." She said as she locked her door. "So, where are we headed?"

"I was thinking we could go for dinner and a movie?"

Sylvie stared at him. "Isn't that a little clichéd for us?"

"So, what would you propose?"

"I propose dinner and maybe... a walk by the lake." She suggested.

"I'm down for that." He took her hand and they made their way to his truck.

After dinner...
