That day [ momentarily stopped]

when it all started

I was walking to school when it all happened. The sky was covered with clouds that morning, and the wind was blowing. It wasn't a nice day at all.

I never lived in the city, I have always lived in the countryside, so each morning at dawn i would wake up at the sound of birds singing. I would get ready and head myself towards the city, where my school was located.

It was usually extremely sunny, with a clear blue sky, and the sun shining, telling you to raise your eyes and stare at the fascinating light.

This day was different though. I woke up late, because the birds weren't singing. I got out of my house and immediately felt blue. it was as if nature had gone on a strike for one day.

I was walking faster then usual, i sensed something deep inside. Something strange in my soul. I felt as if someone was following ,e, as if someone was breathing over my shoulder. I slowly turned around, and no one was there.

I kept on walking and kept on having that same feeling in my guts. I turned around one last time, and saw a shadow hiding behind the corner of the street.

I chose to go check what was going on.

As i turned around and started walking around the corner my heart started beating faster and faster.

I had no clue what was going on.

As i finally turned everything went crazy. For a millisecond i saw someone in front of me, but had not the time to know what it was for it disappeared after less then a blink of an eye.
