Sometimes I fell more appreciated by my dog then my own family.

He was different from the rest of his litter, all black instead of white like a normal Great Pyrenees. I knew what it was like to be different, he knew it too, we understood each other.

I stroked his smooth black head, his gorgeous gray eyes peered up into my bright blue ones. My hip lenghth black hair framed my face and tumbled over my shoulders.

A loud crack of thunder sounded outside, causing Bear to jump a little. "It's okay Bear," I said, my voice soft, "just thunder.

"Lena!" My mom called. "Dinner is ready!"

"Come on, Bear." I said. "It's dinner time."

It's not like my family hated me, it was just, well...me. But, I don't want to get into that right now. It's to personal, and besides I barely know you.

My name is Lena Ember. I'm seventeen, and live with my parents and little brother. Not to mention my dog, but you already know about him.

The rest you'll figure out. So let's begin my story......
