Please, even if you think it's some sappy romance about supernatural creatures. Maybe it is maybe it isn't. Just give it a chance, please.

3rd P.O.V

Tripping and stumbling over the upturned dirt, a young little blonde girl sprinted through the quiet town. Her hair flying behind her in the wind. The old run down park came into view of the small girl, as she launched herself over the small boards that surrounded the park, and down onto the rickety swing set. Small sniffles, and hiccups shake her body as large tears ran down her cheeks.

The small girl's pure blonde hair hung around her in a messy heap, reflecting from the park lamps as the sun continued to set. If you looked close enough, you could see a heap of hair had been cut roughly from her side fringe, where scissors had obviously been hacked at with.

The small girl could still hear her classmate's rude words, as they taunted and punched her. Oblivious to the group of teenagers standing not far from the park sitting on the benches, laughing loudly and swearing. However, one boy, in particular, saw the small girls run into the park. Excusing himself, he felt his insides turn into butterflies as he walked over to her.

He was confused, why was such a small innocent defenseless child doing out so late at night. Why hadn't anyone followed behind her, or come for her yet? Walking over, he could hear her small hiccups and sniffles. Bending down in front of the small blonde, he felt the need to reach out and comfort the child. His large hand reached out brushed the loose strands from her face. She didn't flinch or scream just merely stared back at him with so much sadness. Running his fingers through her hair, she turned her head when he reached a certain bit, which held ruff clippings and looked like someone had been hacking away at it.

"What are you doing out here so late, princess?" His voice was soft, yet deep sending soothing feelings into the girl's skin.

She sniffled her eyes welling up with a new set of tears, cooing silently he pulled her small body of the swing set and hugged her to his tall frame. Patting her hair as she cried into his shoulder, inhaling her sweet lavender scent, he felt himself grow incredibly protective and dominate over her.

Mate.

She was his soulmate, the one made to love him unconditionally, to one day be the love of his life. Staring down at the girl in his arms, she wouldn't have had to be any older than 6. How was he going to keep her close to him without looking like a complete creep? The townspeople already hated him and his kind, what would they make of him claiming the small girl. That actually wouldn't be a question, they would forbid him from ever seeing her again and would twist her memory's of him.

Walking back to his friends, he tried to hide the girl in his arms, as their curious eyes scanned over him and the girl. A petite red haired girl, stood up and gave the boy a questioning look.

"Brother, who is this?" She spoke with a soft soothing voice, scared to startle the child. Her brother shrugged and held the blonde tighter.

"Found her."

Shaking her head, she motioned for him to pass her over to him. Reluctantly he delatched the now sleeping blonde and pasted her over to his sister, who then coped her back to sleep and held her in a much more comfortable position. "We better take her home then. Do you know her name?"

Shaking his head he frowned grimly. "Maya White. She's Charles Whites youngest daughter." Cut in a boy, who sat next to the red head.

"His daughter?"

When he nodded in reply his curly black hair fell over his eyes, before he swiftly flicked it away. "Wouldn't he know better then to leave his daughter outside at night?"

"He should and he probably does. However, if you had been listing in on gossip. He doesn't really care for any of his children besides the oldest two who will be taking his place." The red head sister remarked sharply pulling the girl closer to her protectively.

"Chase," the boy turned to the curly hair boy. "Could you get as much information on Maya here for me, while I take her back."

"You can't take her back. Are you stupid?" The Chase boy intersected. "They'll rip you apart and probably her too."

Growling in the back of his throat. He turned on the Chase boy. "Than what do you think we should do."

"Ash. Chill just leave her somewhere and watch her until someone comes by." The idea seemed reasonable.

'Ash' moved closer to his sister and leant over her shoulder to see Maya still curled up in her arms. Reaching over he took hold of her cut fringe, which was tinted slightly red at the scalp from her hair being ripped out.

"Kids at school, I'm guessing." Ash nodded along. "I guess we should take her home now."

Turning on his sister. "Sage don't get too attached. We'll see her again soon."

"I hope."
