In a strange aquatic realm, Emilia Crystal swam through the vastness of the pristine sea, as she swam by a group of fish gathered by a reef. It was beautiful to see such marvelous things underwater, but the most amazing attraction was yet to be unveiled. Just as Emilia caught sight of a school of sunfish, the sun rose above the horizon of the ocean, which in an instant lit the scale of every sea creature in sight.

From bluefin tuna to dorado, all the ocean shined like a magnified rainbow, but none blazed more brilliantly than the sapphire scales of Emilia's tail. The sudden shock of seeing her tail light up like the fourth of July woke her up out of her trance. Then darkness consumed her vision leaving her mind open to wonder.

As the sunshine beamed out the bedroom window hitting Emilia's eyelids like a blaring semi, the sense of reality had entered her mind. The smell of breakfast had begun to tempt her from afar making her want to get up right away to eat what could only be her mother's delicious scrambled eggs. Although as Emilia attempted to pull herself out of bed, the weight of the lower half of her body seemed to ground her.

In urgency, Emilia lifted up the covers of her bed to find a dark sapphire blue fish tail in place of her legs. This has to still be a dream, Emila thought to herself. To test her theory, she tried making the tail move with the thought wiggling a toe, and wouldn't you know, the fluke of the tail bent backward in towards spine, which poll vaulted from her bed onto the floor.

"This is definitely not a dream", Emilia mumbled to herself as she tried to do a push-up like her life depended upon it as she heard someone, most likely her mom, coming to see what the commotion was about. "But it will be a nightmare if someone finds me like this", she muttered looking at her scaly behind as if telling it to be scarce or else. This situation made Emilia wish she heeded her gym teacher's advice to stay active and fit, because for what it's worth, she knew before even trying she could never do a push-up to save her life. Now the time had come.

Emelia's heart went into hyperdrive as everything accelerated. She would've blacked out immediately if it weren't for who was standing in her doorway. He stood at almost six feet in height with sleek black hair, beaconing blue eyes, and a smile that made her melt. As Emelia began to relinquish herself to the gravity of her discovery while she could no longer hold her body back, her head fell down to the ground allowing her to see that this gorgeous guy was nude with emerald scales running down the sides of his legs.

In the storm of consciousness, the waves of thoughts within Emilia's mind started to collide together creating feelings of panic, fear, and confusion. The last thing she saw before blacking out was a sunfish slapping her in the face as she was being submerged underwater to her surprise. How this all happened she did not know, but it didn't matter, at least for now, as a tide of sweet relief accompanied her into an indefinite slumber.
