"ellington!" rydel yelled, tears pricking in her eyes as she covered her mouth with her hand in pure shock.
her long term boyfriend was lying in their bed, in their with another girl on top of him. they pulled the covers around themselves, clearly naked and rydel had busted the door open after hearing moaning in the bedroom.
"it's not what it looks like..." ellington protested, pushing the girl off of himself.
"save it." rydel hissed, the tears already rolling down her cheeks as she sprinted down the stairs. she glanced at the positive pregnancy test in her hand, throwing it on the fire in pure frustration.
she grabbed random things, throwing them into her suitcase until it was full before zipping it up, crying as she did so.
"please, please don't go.." ellington begged her, a sheet wrapped around his waist. he grabbed her arm, trying to stop her but she pushed his arm off, picking up their 10 week old baby and holding him close to her chest.
ellington slapped her arm hard enough to leave a bruise, his intoxication became clear by his slurred words. "DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE." he half yelled.
she fought him off, pushing him back and onto the couch. she grabbed her suitcase and raced out the door, trying to calm her screaming baby and resist the urge of screaming herself.
she jumped into her car, throwing her suitcase into the back but too scared to put her baby down. she held him close to her chest as she accelerated away, leaving her boyfriend, house, job and city as just a vague pigment of the past.
