The Exiled Fleet

Prologue
War
The United Star Systems and the British Empire had just come out of a war with the Sovereign Resistance. The Sovereign Resistance broke away from The United Star Systems because of false accusations of corruption and greed. The British and USS formed the ten fleets. During the war most of the Sovereign Resistance was destroyed. Three of the ten fleets of the allies were destroyed. The allies suffered heavy ship losses. 137 out of 203 ships were destroyed.

The fleets are as follows the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th. The British fleets are the odd numbered and the USS Fleets are the even numbered ones except for the 3rd fleet that is also USS.

The Sovereign Fleet was thought to be destroyed but around fifteen ships survived. The fleet have become pirates, attacking cargo ships for their supplies. It is up to the 7th ,3rd and 5th fleet to find and destroy them once and for all.

Chapter 1
Contact
The 7th Royal fleet had received orders to go to the centarius system to track down the cargo freighter "Descendent". The fleet went to the nearby system and scanned all planets for debris or the ship. The fleet found the ship on the planet "LW-2374". The HMS Resolution went to the plant and entered orbit.

They sent down three troop transports and a vehicle transport. The transports landed on the planet five minutes later. A fierce storm quickly set in around the transports and the freighter. Commander Devrin assessed the situation at hand. He sent out three squad of Marines, the three best squads to investigate the ship. They took three PC-14 Jackels. As they approached the ship one of the men heard gunfire from inside the ship. Wolf squad and Eagle squad search for a way in. The only open way is loading ramp located in the rear of the ship.

Corporal Donovan of Wolf squad says " They will be waiting for us at the back, I say we go through the top of the ship.

The two leaders agree. They go to the starboard side of the ship and use their grappling hooks to climb up to the top of the ship. They moved along the top of the ship until they reached a hanger.

They scanned to see if there were any life forms in the hanger. There were no life forms in the hanger. They rappelled down to the small opening in the hanger. They start to move through the ship. After two hours they cleared the ship, no hostiles.

The troops reported back and said the ship has been abandoned and rigged with around a dozen traps. The three squads returned to the transport ships and returned to the Resolution. After rendezvousing with the fleet the HMS Dreadnought picked up faint radio chatter. The comms expert told Captain Gregory that the chatter was to faint to make out.
The Admiral of the 7th Royal fleet reported to command that the ship was abandoned and that they will rejoin the 3rd fleet in 4 days.

After the transmission was ended the fleet can under heavy gunfire. The fleet maneuvered to their attack formation. The HMS Queen's Pride and the Reaper launched multiple squadrons of bombers with fighter escorts to engage the enemy force. The Dreadnaught scanned the area and counted three enemy cruisers in a small asteroid field. The HMS Divide and the HMS Conquer started to fire into the asteroid field. The heavy fire of the two battleships destroyed one cruiser and crippled the other two.

The Admiral contacted all of the captains.
Admiral Yurt asked "Should we take them as prisoners or destroy them?"

Captain Gregory said "destroy the enemy so that there is no risk of them attacking us when we get close".

All squadrons land back at their ships. Captain William said to also take them out. The Admiral orders the HMS Conqueror and the HMS Divide to fire their railguns at the two crippled ships. . The railguns are fired and hit the two cruisers which are then destroyed. The 7th fleet then set out to regroup with the 3rd fleet in the Omega system.
