Chapter 3

"You never told me what happened after you moved here" Luke pointed out as we headed into the sunset that was perfectly in line with the highway.

"Do I really need to Luke?" I questioned and he nodded, I could see with my peripheral vision.

"When I moved here, my parents and I all moved into the same house. After a while Mum and Dad started to grow apart I guess and they ended up getting a divorce. I was never a trouble child until then, as you know," He rolled his eyes and I laughed while carrying on.

"When I started my new school I got mixed up with mostly a group of guys. They were all well and good until Alex brought in drugs, alcohol and a whole lot of other stuff that I won't be able to name. Alex introduced me to a couple of his friends, and we all discovered that each other had good singing voices, could play instruments etcetera so we started a band. We started playing in pubs and taverns until this guy asked us to play a show at an arena, that was around the night that the party was. Alex then started to get serious about things and it escalated from there. At that point Mum had gotten a new partner that I could actually stand, who was the complete opposite of Dad's whore of a partner. So every week I'm pretty much split between houses so I'm thinking about buying an apartment in the city. That brings us up to about now" I smiled over to him and he looked down.

"What do you mean escalated?" He questioned without looking at me and I sighed.

"That was seriously the only part you caught onto Luke?"

He only wants to know if we had sex...

"He started to ask for... things" I trailed off and he huffed.

"Sex? Just tell me!" He laughed and I weakly smiled.

"Yeah. And naked showers" I wrinkled my nose and he turned his face, making his thick blonde hair move with his creamy blue eyes.

"So you didn't end up doing it?" He asked in all seriousness.

"Nahh. I didn't even consider it" I replied and he smirked, "So I'm still your one and only?" He added with a laugh on the end.

A few seconds of silence passed and the tension grew heavier, you could literally feel it lingering in the air, waiting for somebody to say something.

"Wait... Ellie..." He looked at me eith puppy eyes and I happened to get lost in them for the few split seconds it took for the stupid red Ferarri to speed past and nearly knock me off of the road.

Just tell him Ellie! He deserves to know.

"What? Oh. Yeah. You're my one and only Luke" I weakly smiled and his face turned from worried to happiness in seconds.

Maybe even nano - seconds.

"So what happened after I left?" I questioned and looked over to him.

I studied his face and saw an amgry expression plastered on it, but I started in hysterics when I saw the massive dick that Michael had drawn on Luke's fluoro green cast, and the singlasses Calum had drawn onto it.

"What are you laughing at?" He spat with such force that it made me tear up a tiny bit.

"You could just not be such a prick and tell me it was a touchy subject." I mumbled and his head turned in split seconds.

"No! Ellie stop lying to me! This is partly what broke us up in the first place" He screamed and I turned off of the highway and stopped in the car park of a local supermarket.

"What the fuck am I lying to you about? Not fucking Alex?" I undud my seatbelt and sat cross - legged sideways so I could face Luke better.

"I can tell it wasn't Alex. Who did you sleep with Ellie" He pleaded, tears threatining to pour at any moment.

It kills to see Luke so sad, he's going to be devastated.

"I can't tell you" I croaked and he leaned his head back onto the chair, I could tell by his movements that he was attempting to stay calm.

"Why not" He clenched his jaw and I could tell he was beyond pissed.

"You'll probably deck them!" I screamed without realising what I had said and he turned to me with his mouth gaping open.

He was speechless.

"It's somebody I know?" He questioned with a confused face before it turned to angry.

"Who was it? I'm fucking not going anywhere unless you tell me" He whispered and I burst out crying.

"I don't want to tell you. I'm 100% sure you'll leave me" I cried out and he wrapped his arms around me and leaned in for a hug.

We sat uncomfortably like this for minutes until I had finally calmed down, the seat belt buckle was digging into my hip and Luke was on an awkward angle while attempting to hug me.

"Ashton"

I felt his arms unwrap from around me and he jumped out of the car, tears fell from his face and mine.

I closed my eyes and curled up into a ball on the passenger seat of my car and cried.

And cried.

And cried.
