Morning Ritual

I had just moved out after I graduated from college in El Paso, the smallest big city my friend Nick would call it. Because of that we had a decent cost of living and I was able to fly my friend Jade down here to move in with me. Little did we know we timed the move at an interesting time. El Paso was just big enough to get some big names to come perform here. This month we got Falling in Reverse coming to perform at our new stadium downtown.

That morning I woke up wanting to go right back to sleep my E.V.E. Online alarm going off from my phone. I reach over and turn it off. My room was dead quiet but my lovely Jade was up early this time blasting all kinds of Ronnie while she got ready. 

I stepped out and peeked into her room.

"Don't be naked I'm coming in!", I said with a chuckle rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Oh, Hey Wisconsin finally awake?" she was in shorts and a t-shirt looking through her closet.

"Yeah, you want something to eat? I'm about to eat." I was walking out the door and stopped to get an answer.

"Duhhh!", she smiled and began singing along with Ronnie again.

I threw a shirt on and walked to the kitchen. I pulled our waffle maker and decided to try and surprise Ziggles. I heard the music stop and she walked in beside me.

"Yooo! Chicken and waffles? Today is great already!" she smiled and nudged me.

"Aye, figured why not surprise my Ziggles with chicken!" I laughed as I started shutting down the stove and fixing our plates. 

We sat down and started eating together. We both got up part way through our meal and knew what the other wanted. Apple Juice. We pour our cups of juice and take a swig.

"Sooooo today is going to be perfect!" she was visibly excited as we ate and drank.

I had my phone next to my plate playing Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle on my phone and look up at her, "God damn shit pulls... another fuckin' Yamcha." I close my phone and look at her and smile, "Oh is that right?" I said with a smirk.

"YES! We are going to meet Ronnie! I can't believe we got these tickets on such short notice, especially after moving in like this."

"Yeah I'm shocked too to be honest, but aye it worked out for us." I take another bite of my waffles. 

She jumps up and throws her plate and fork into the sink. 

"I'm going to get ready! You better hurry up before I fight you!" she said with a laugh and she ran out the room clearly bursting with energy.

I follow close behind her shaking my head. "I will be Ziggles, don't worry." I said to her as I walk toward my room.

I walk in and throw my phone on the charger and start to play my Soundcloud playlist while I look into my closet for something to wear. I pull out my black jeans and a black T-Shirt that had classical art on it with the words "Get Like Me" over it. I reach for my And One hoodie and tan UFS beanie since it is chilly and windy in the city around November. After showering I throw on my clothes and step out my room with my headphones on and step toward Jade's room and knock on the door. 

She opens the door and she had just got dressed after her shower. She was wearing a tank top and capri leggings with her makeup done.

"So, how do I look?" she asked grabbing her stuff and brushing her hair out her face.

"You look great Ziggles and your makeup is on point... Ronnie is going to love it." She smiled and walked past me.

"Let's go Wisconsin! I want to beat the crowd this afternoon." she grabbed her keys and stepped out the door.
