*Mina's POV*

"Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight is a special night. In the audience, Bruce Wayne has paid our little circus a visit. Please give a warm welcome to the Flying Graysons, the only acrobats that perform without the safety of a net."

Forget.

The warm glow of the spotlight on my family as I watch from the side next to my older brother Dick, Mami and Tati are about to jump onto the trapeze. Watching my parents soar through the sky is awe-inspiring. Tonight, is a special night. Tonight, is Dick's debut for the final act. Mami and Tati only let me in on the first two parts but Mami said that if I'm good and behave I'll be able to do more with them and Dick.

Forget.

Snap. The terrifying sound that no acrobat wants to hear. The wires breaking during a performance.

Forget.

"Kids." Mami said as Dick and I watched in horror. Crack. Mami and Tati hit the ground in a sickening crunch, I cry out for Mami and Tati to not leave us. The small arms of Dick wrapped around me as I continue to cry out loud ignoring the screams of the crowd below.

Forget.

I don't want to remember all the painful memories of my parent's death and my older brother disappearing. I don't want to remember the blood on the dirt fairgrounds, the screams that surrounded me. I don't want to remember anything before I came here. I continue my mantra until I begin to slowly forget everything that I want forgotten.

Most people are not able to willingly forget things, I on the other hand have the power of memory manipulation. I can erase and write new memories of anyone that I so desire. I remember one time with Dick; I had rewritten one of our fond memories.

Dickie and I were walking outside in the cool air heading towards the animals; we both loved the animals that came on tour with us. Earlier I had been feeling down as I saw Dickie and our parents practicing on the trapeze, I worried about falling behind as I couldn't keep up with our regular training. Dickie saw and to cheer me up we went to the animals. Dickie has always loved elephants; he even has a stuffed animal named Peanut. I loved the gorillas; I too have a stuffed animal but mine is named Gus.

Back then I didn't even know that I had my power, I accidently rewrote a memory of Dickie's. For twelve hours, Dickie was terrified of elephants and wouldn't even go near Peanut. Once Mami and Tati found out what happened I was given a few tests and was told I'm a metahuman. I apologized to Dickie once we left the doctor's office.

If only I could turn back time and enjoy the simple life back then. I could do so many things without a care in the world. Now that I'm here in a small dark cell, all I want is freedom.

"Cell number 434, it's feeding time." A monotone voice said as I heard the scraping of metal slide on the cold cement ground.

Even when the footsteps faded into the distance, I still didn't move an inch from the stiff bed in the small dark room. When I first arrived, I would eat the food but after becoming violently ill I wouldn't go near the stuff. I want to end my suffering so I barely eat or move to conserve energy. I occasionally move only to try and fail to find a more comfortable position.

To pass my time here, I mostly sleep and not much else. I begin to close my eyes as I become drowsy but I wasn't even tired a few moments ago. Maybe something was pumped into my room and I'm only just starting to experience the effects. Before too long, I close my eyes and fall into a dreamless sleep.

Pain is all I feel when I first wake up. I look around but can't see anything as I'm back in my cell. I have no idea what happened while I was out but I want the pain to go away. Not only do I have a major headache but I also have pain down my arms and legs, like they're on fire with no way to stop it. Even in a failed attempt to fall asleep, the pain in my arms and legs jolt me awake like a never-ending alarm.

"What's happening to me?" I whisper as I haven't spoken since I first got here.

I didn't expect an answer but it would have been nice to at least know. After a while the pain started to subside but the headache remained and is worsening. I can barely think straight while my head continues to pound, I feel completely disoriented as I close my eyes. As I finally give into the pain, one name comes to mind-Dick Grayson.
