Rabanastre: Migelo's Sundries

"Maya could you run a couple errands for me?" The Old Bangaa known as Migelo asks. Ever since I was a child, Migelo had been like a grandfather towards me, so it was only natural that when Penelo and I lost our parents, he offered me a job. "Sure old man, just tell me where I'm going." I say, after the customer I was selling a few High-Potions to leaves. "Old man? Bah. You kids these days, no respect." Migelo says waving his hands. I laugh softly. "C'mon Migelo, you know I mean nothing by that. I hold you with the highest respect." I say. "Bah, fine. Come with me." He says before leading me to the storage room. He grabs a medium sized sack and a semi-small box and hands them to me. "This sack goes to Old Dalan, he's expecting it. The box goes to the soldiers, the Captain and his men have been waiting for this shipment. Due to the recent weather conditions, it took longer than expected to arrive. The Captain has received my telegram stating his shipment has arrived, so he traveled all the way from Dalmasca for it. I'm not quite sure where he is staying at so go to Old Dalan first, that man knows everything, so he should be able to point you in the right direction." He says. I'm a bit taken back at the mention of the Captain but recover. "Very well, I'll be sure to get these to them." I say, smile, and start walking away. "Maya, how is Penelo?" He asks. I stop and turn. "She's feeling much better, I'm sure she's around somewhere. If I see her, I'll tell her to stop by." I say, turn back, and leave.

I goto South Gate which led to Giza Plains, turn left towards the round gateway which leads to Lowtown, and walk through it once it opens. Old Dalan's place is just a few steps away. I knock before walking inside. Old Dalan emerges with a smile. "Ah my dear Maya, nice to see you. You're here to deliver my package." Old Dalan says, already knowing. I swear nothing gets past this old man. "Yes, nice to see you too. Here you are, Migelo and I are sorry for the wait." I say handing him the sack of goods. "Thank you my dear. Now then, I heard Penelo has recovered. I'm glad. How've you been my dear?" He asks. "Better now that Penelo is okay, how have you been? I'm sorry I don't visit as often as I use to." I say. Old Dalan chuckles softly. "That's alright my dear, your jobs are what put food on the table and a roof over those children's heads. Now then, you'll want to know where the Captain is." He says before going silent, trying to remember. "How do you...oh nevermind." I say smiling and shaking my head lightly. "Oh yes, he's staying in Nalbina Fortress, but he was last seen at The Sandsea. He couldn't have gone too far." He says. "Thank you Old Dalan. I'll visit soon, I promise." I say. "I'll hold you to that my dear. Tell Penelo I'm glad she's ok. Also, give my best to the Captain." He says. "I will, goodbye Old Dalan." I say and walk out.

I follow Lowtown until reaching the door which led up to Yamoora's Gambits. Which was just a few yards away from The Sandsea. I take a right, then a left, and walk into The Sandsea. It was busy as usual, but I couldn't see any armored men, so I walk up to the bartender. "Oh, Maya, you're here early. You don't work until later tonight." The man says. "Yes I know, I'm doing errands for Migelo. Have you seen the Captain? Old Dalan told me he was here but I don't see him. I have a package I'm suppose to deliver." I say. "Ah, of course, he's on the second level, go on up." He says. "Thank you." I say and make my way to the staircase. I reach the top and look around. At first I don't see him, but then a couple people move out of the way, and I'm able to see him. He was conversing with Tomaj, a young kid around 14. I walk up quietly. I feel nervous all of a sudden...snap out of it Maya. I catch the Captain's attention as I walk up and he stops talking.

Tomaj seems to notice and follows the Captain's gaze. "Oh, Maya, I didn't realize you were there. A little early aren't you?" He asks. "Oh, yea I'm running errands for Migelo." I say looking at Tomaj, before looking towards the Captain. "Um...I have a package from Migelo for you and your men Captain. He says he apologizes for the wait." I say and hold out the box. The Captain stands and takes the box from me. "Thank you and tell Migelo it's alright, this wasn't given a time limit." The Captain says with a kind smile. I nod and give a small smile before starting to turn away. "Hey, Maya, how is Penelo doing?" Tomaj asks. I stop and turn to him. "She's recovered completely. The Remedy got to her just in time." I say, my eyes flicking over to the Captain briefly. It's all thanks to him... "Ah, I'm glad. I was worried." Tomaj says before another man calls him, turning his attention towards him. With Tomaj distracted, I look to the Captain. "Thank you again Captain. She wouldn't have made it without you." I say just loud enough for him to hear before turning and walking away.
