I trudged into my room, and removed all of my Pokémon posters, except for the poster of Elesa, the model from Nimbasa city. She was also the gym leader. I also cleaned out my bookshelf. Then, when I looked under my bed, I found a gift box. I had gotten it secretly from my brother, Eli.
"I know it's against family tradition, but I want you to open this when you are 10.", he had said.
I opened the box, and, checking to see that her mom was busy, looked inside. Inside were four pokeballs and a outfit wrapped in paper. She looked at the note.
Dearest sister,
I know that family will try to keep you back, but in 3 years, choose your Pokémon, and disguise yourself . The Pokémon are the three starters and a little treat :).

I laughed. Sammigator and Elidile were jokes that me and my brother made when we were little. I decided that I would choose the Pokémon tonight. I found a loose floorboard, and decided to hide the box there. I then finished cleaning, and got everything ready.
That night, I grabbed the box. I looked at the outfit. It was a boys outfit, and came with a hat and bag. I decided to take all the pokeballs and put them in the bag. Then the hard part. Cutting my hair. I took a pair of scissors and cut my hair to a short bob. I then dressed myself in the outfit, filled the bag with things I needed, and left the house.
