Song:

That Should Be Me - Justin Bieber

You and Michael were the happiest you've ever been, you moved in together, he's been on vacation from tour leaving you two to spend time with each other, you did everything together. Late night cuddles, movie nights, piggy back rides, Along with Michael telling him how much he loves you every night. You two were perfect.. But that soon changed.

After coming home from band practice Michael's mood had changed, instead of hugging and kissing you when he arrived, he went straight upstairs, leaving you confused.

"Mikey?" You called out.

"What." He said, annoyance present in his voice.

"Are you okay? Did something happen?" You asked in confusion. He never acted like this.

"Listen... Y/n, I think we should take a break. Tour's about to start again and I don't think this long distance thing is going to work." He said.

"B-but we made it work before!" You stuttered, raising your voice.

"I'm going to go stay with the boys before tour.. Bye." He said, walking out the door.

You slid down the wall, violent sobs coming from your mouth.

Michael's POV

What did I just do? I loved her, why was I acting like this? I sighed. She doesn't deserve me, she deserves someone better. She shouldn't have to stand being alone for months at a time while I'm away. It's better this way. I told myself. I hope she can forgive me.

3 months later

I'm always lonely.. Without her I'm nothing. On stage, I can't even smile. All that's on my mind is her. Now these rumors? Has she moved on?

I lay in my bed late at night. "Please come back to me Y/n. I never should've let you go." I whispered.

4 months later

I was still staying with the boys after coming home from tour. I had no courage to talk to her. After I hurt her like that? She shouldn't even see my face. My phone lit up, and I looked over, my heart racing. It was just the boys. I looked at the picture they sent me. It was a picture from 2012. The messages read.

Ashton: Remember this?

Calum: We hope it can bring a smile to your face!

Luke: It's all going to get better soon, trust us.

I sighed, putting the phone down. I turned over in my bed, burying my face into the pillow. I let out a scream, letting all of my emotions out. I can't take this anymore.

Later that day

"Umm. Michael?" Luke called from the front door.

"What?" I yelled back.

"Come look at this..." He said.

I rolled out of bed and walked to Luke. "What do you wa-" I stopped in my tracks when I looked at the invitation. Luke looked at me with sad eyes. I took the letter, a tear streaming down my face.

"You are invited to the wedding of Y/n Y/l/n and Travis White!"

I immediately ripped up the letter and stormed off. I screamed, punching the wall. The boys rushing in to comfort me. I pushed them away, sliding down the wall with my head in my hands. I began the let out violent sobs. "All I wanted was her!" I screamed.

Time of wedding

The boys dragged me to go to their wedding. The least we could do was support them. When we arrived, everyone stared. I kept my head down and walked to an empty chair with the boys. When the reception finally began, I tried my best to hold back my sobs that were threatening to come out. The boys occasionally patted my shoulder, telling me that everything would be alright. I didn't believe them, my heart was shattered, and my everything was drifting away. This world meant nothing to me. When the I do's finally came, a tear slipped down my cheek.

"Do you take this woman to be your wife?"

"I do."

"Do you take this man to be your husband?"

With one last glance at the crowd, she said those dreaded words I thought one day would be for me.

"I do."

With that said, I walked out. I couldn't do this anymore, I had to get away. I went back to the van the boys and I took. The violent sobs came again. The boys followed me and comforted me the best they could.

"That should be me." I whispered. Remembering all the times we spent together. The cuddles, the piggy back rides she loved so much, taking her to the places she loved to go to with me, and only me. No, it's all gone. That should've been me, holding her hand, making her laugh, being there for her.

"That should be me."
