her hands are heavily tattooed. there is a huge black ring on her finger. what has she been through? her hands turn the pages of the cluttered book gingerly, almost solemnly, as if saying goodbye to someone you used to call a friend. suddenly, the book is thrown across the room. anger. red. glass shattering. you see tears in her eyes, overflowing on to her freckled cheeks. her eyes glitter in the sunlight. they are green and grey, the shadow of a moonlit forest in the spring.
