The Living Arrangements

Nico's POV

Ugh...

How did I let myself get convinced to live with Valadez.

I don't have anything against the elfish Latino, but he wasn't my ideal first choice. Well, I guess he was the easiest to choose. When Chiron announced to us about our new living arrangements, I was just the slightest bit relieved, but as I looked over my roommate options, my brain almost exploded.

My first option was Jason. Sure, the dude's pretty cool, but all he does in his spare time was watch reruns of football and baseball world series games, and I can't live in a house or with people that do that. I just can't.

The next one on the list was.... oh gods... Percy. No. No way, no how. Non succederá. If the struggle on the Argos II was not enough for anyone, then this potential living arrangement was not going to end well, for either of us.

Then, there was Frank. Yeah, I really like this guy, I mean he is Hazel's boyfriend, but we never got to talk or get close. So... it would be kinda awkward. Plus, he is known to have Buddhist statues around, and it might interfere with my ironic atheism.
So, I chose the McShizzle as the perfect roommate.

Note the excitement in my voice.

As I quickly started to pack all my belongings, I was met by the avatars of fire himself. "Yo! Death Breath! You ready to go?" I shot Leo one of my world famous death glares, and he faked the expression of being frightened. "Oh, Nico" he dramatically exclaimed, " Why you must show me the look of dissatisfaction and anger in my direction?"

"Shut up, Valdez." I remarked to him, turning back to my current activity. For some reason, that Latino could make pissed to my wits end.

I finally finished packing, and Leo and I headed out to our chosen transportation.

Sitting in the car with him, the mechanic had the nerve to start making up jokes. Frustrated and tired, I stared out the window.

Yep, this was going to be a long trip.
