Ah...crushing. One of my favorites things in life.
A crush is defined by 2 things: an imense obsession and atraction towards somebody and the imposibility of your feelings to be manifested in front of that person, or the incapability of that relationship to become one of dating terms.

Now, if you are like me, or like anybody else really, you are gonna have all these impossible beautiful crushes. What everybody has to learn though, is to understand that crushes should just stay that, and be enjoyed and consumed in the privacy of your own mind ( and social accounts ) in order for it to remain fueled up.

Now, I tend to have this absurd crushes: on a married guy, on a gay guy, on a guy who has a crush on somebody else, on a very famous person, or actually anything really that makes things ridiculously hard for anything to actually happen.

During the years I was very frustrated about this, especially in highschool when I was bullied and not consider a worthy of atention in terms of hook-ups.
So after many years of being the ugly duckling (still waiting my transformation ) I realised a major key in all of these. I liked crushing! It gave me a purpose of dressing nice in a day I thought I might run into him, i felt extremely happy (and also melting) when he looked at me and at the same time embarassed hoping he can't read my mind, and I would flush everytime his eyes met mine, like there was some sort of invisible fire or chemestry there, and what I always wondered and still am: is it both sides when I feel that, or just me, the lame me?

As I entered my adult life I realised I treasured my crushes and not only had I gave up trying to make them evolve into something else, I was actually enjoying it all. Enjoying the way that I couldn't breathe when he accidently touched my hand, or the way I dropped my stuff and tripped just because I thought I saw him.

I think crushes should not transform in anything more. I think it cannot become a healthy relationship something that starts out as an obsession and irational attraction. I believe in mind-driven partenerships, not in teenagerish acts.

Bottom line is: enjoy your crush. Stop trying to make something outta it. Just enjoy the curent state. Play with it. Strech it.
