Piece And Stars: The Short Story, Enjoy?

She sat there staring at the wall. Everything coming back to her from the previous night. She wonders how she could have messed up so much and wishes she could go back and change it but she cant get him back. She checks her phone hoping for something, anything. And all she sees is one message from her mom asking if she'll come down for thanksgiving next week. She briskily types a reply along the lines of sure i'd love to. Honestly she loves food.

She decides to get up and get something to eat then maybe fix the mess she made. Would it really be worth it to change what she did, she wonders. It felt like the right thing to do. But she's very unsure. She grabs a box of Chexies Cereal and pours herself a bowl.

She hears a knock at the door and groans because she had just sat down, yet she gets up and answers anyways. There stands her brother, shoot she completely forgot he was going to visit today. She hugs him and welcomes him in asking if he wanted anything and offered a seat. Her brother, Piece, simply shakes his head and sits down next to her asking how she is doing. She just kinda shrugs and smiles for him saying 'yeah i'm doing fine'. After she finished eating, Piece suggested going to the park a couple blocks down and she agreed, I mean maybe it'd do her some good to get some fresh air.

They get out the door and she locks it. As they walk her brother asks her how her and her boyfriend are doing. She looks down and shakes her head. Whispering 'we're nonexistent'. Piece looks at her in a concerned way wondering what happened but decides that he should just comfort her instead. Piece hugs her and says that she doesn't have to tell him what happened and that it'd be okay aswell as she can contact him anytime and he'll do his best to be there.

Piece and her have always gotten along really well, people always called them the perfect siblings when really they just cared and respected eachother a lot. They still fought every so often but they always made up.

Stars debates on whether or not she should tell Piece what occurred the previous night but decided that she would just get too worked up. She tells Pieces thank you and gives him a kiss on the forhead. They are only two years apart.

By the time they get to the park its beautiful out and Stars taps Piece's shoulder and says "you're it!' before running off. Piece catches up to her fast though and tickles her until Stars gets him to stop.

Stars by then was smiling and carefree. She asked Piece if he wanted to watch the sunset that was bound to happen soon because it was a gorgeous day. Pieces says that he would as long as it would cheer her up.

Pieces asks her to play on the dome jungle gym until it got close enough to watch the sunset. Stars simply laughs and races him to it. But it all stopped as horror appeared on Pieces face. As Stars was laying on the ground, a pool of crimson blood surrounding her head. Piece sat down beside her freaking out trying to find out what happened as he saw a bullethole in the side of her head. He rushed to check her pulse but it was too late, she was already dead.
