On the Path to Normal

Babies!

I awoke to the sound of J fidgeting.
'Morning Puddin' I sang as I hopped out of bed.
J didn't answer, instead he just yawned.
'I'm..I'm working today Harley' J told me as he got up.
'Oh, I'll go shopping then, do something normal' I replied.
J smiled at me. I quickly got dressed and picked up what I needed to take with me.
'See you later Puddin!' I chirped as I opened the door.
'Bye Pumpkin' J answered before walking into his office.
I went into the garage, it was pitch black.
'Babies' I whispered, trying not to startle them.
They barked back and I could feel their legs rubbing at my knees.
'Did you miss mummy?' I cooed.
Bud and Lou were my hyenas. People always screamed when they saw them; I never understood why.
'Mamas gonna take you shopping' I told them as stroked their heads.
They barked in response. I grabbed their chains from a nail which was hammered into the wall.
Come on babies' I sang as I skipped out of the garage, Bud and Lou at my feet.
'Oh hold on a minute' I said as I tied up Bud and Lou's chains and went back into the garage.
I rummaged through the garage until I found my roller blades. Bud and Lou tilted their head, I could tell they were confused.
'It'll be faster if I'm on my skates' I told them as I slipped them on.
I held onto a skateboard to try and stand up. I pushed down on it and it slipped over, and so did I.
'Ahh' I yelled as I landed back on the ground with a thud.
Bud and Lou barked with laughter.
'Oh shut up you two' I hissed angrily at them.
When I (finally) managed to stand up, Bud and Lou sprinted down the street.
