Samantha was not sure how long her parents would be gone but since her sister Joeleen, Jo for short, had been in labor for so long, she figured it would be a while if not all night. Little did she know it would be the longest night of her life.
She was pleased to have the house to herself. She had stayed alone for a few hrs here and there, so she enjoyed her alone time without being stuck in her room. She had the house to herself! "Hmm ,what will I do first" she thought. She checked Netflix to see if they had any new episodes of her favorite shows. She found H20 which wasn't her favorite but it would do.
Samantha decided to fix some popcorn while she watched it. She went into the large kitchen of the house her ,family had just bought, in a fancy neighborhood. She still wasn't used to it so she rummaged around till she found what she was looking for. "How do I work this thing" she said aloud as she was fumbling with the buttons on the microwave. Finally she got it and smiled as the popcorn started popping. Pop pop pop. Soon she would be enjoying her popcorn and watching Netflix.
It was 9:00 pm when she got the call. Her father informed it would probably be in the morning before they had any new information. He asked her if she would be ok at home ,by herself. Samantha had mixed feeling about it, she was happy to have the house to herself but also scared not having the safe feeling of her dad in the next room.
