Tears flooded your eyes as you ran down the hall to your apartment.
"(Y/n)!" Tony yelled chasing after you. Small sobs escaped your throat as you unlocked your apartment. Tony had caught up to you by now. He grabbed your upper arm and pulled you towards him. "(Y/n) I'm sorry but you know I have to go. Fury and the team needs me ."
You shoved him away slamming your fist into his chest over and over. Of course it hurt your arms more than it hurt him but you just couldn't help it. "No Tony! I can't keep doing this! Wondering when you will be back or if you will even come back at all!" A fresh set of tears blurred your vision as you stifled a sob. "What am I going to do tony! I-I-if one day you don't come home! What will I do then tony I can't loose you."
He pulled you tightly against him and you buried your face in his shoulder. "(Y/n)" he said tears in his eyes. "You won't loose me. We have been together for six years now. Numerous missions within those six years. I will always come back to you no matter what. "
He kissed you lightly on the lips before kneeling on the ground. He dug through his pocket and pulled out a tiny black box from his pocket.
"(Y/n) with this I'll make you a promise as long as you wear this ring. I promise I will always come back to you. I'll ALWAYS come home to your beautiful face. That smile, those beautiful (e/c) eyes, that sweet voice. I guess what I'm trying to say (y/n) is. Will you marry me?" He looked up into your eyes as you nodded.
"Y-y-yes tony!" He stood up and kissed you softly wrapping his arms around your waist.
"I love you (y/n)."
"I love you too Tony."
