RUN, MAYA, RUN

Chapter [1]: The end

Mya  P.O.V:
I wake up in the morning and get ready exactly like I do everyday except today isn't normal today is the start of the new war. The new war it sounds different it sounds bad. I don't know what the outcome from this will be. Today I have to go to a new place a new shelter. With my parents. They say this war will be over soon and that this war will be the one to save earth. But I don't believe these lies. This war will be the end of our earth as we know it.
Jake P.O.V:
Some thing feels sketchy. This war doesn't seem helpful it seems as if all they've said about it is propaganda. I don't feel safe I don't know if I should trust them. They think they're helping us they're not. We are fine without this war we never wanted it they tried to make us believe but only the ones who are brainwashed did. There's no way to save us. Even if they put us in shelters we could die of starvation. Who knows if this isn't a trap. I will miss school and my friends because who knows if they're going to separate us. What will happen to my mom? She's sick. Who will be there to treat her. She's the only one I have now since my dad went to war.  I hope these people are telling the truth and if their not then god help out earth.

Mya P.O.V:
I am on my way to the new shelter and it seems so far from where I am used to live. It's far from my school and my neighbourhood. It's not only that I'm worried about I am worried about my brother who will grow up away from home in a bunker. I am scared for him when he will find out his dad went to war and might not come back. I'm not worried for me cause I'm 17 and I already had an amazing childhood and I can live on my own. Mark doesn't know what life is like alone, Mark doesn't know that he might die. We are finally arriving to the shelter it's worse than any of us ever imagined it to be. It smells like sewers and looks like a destroyed house. Entering it we find out we have to live in this broken house and not in the bunker down stairs which is safer. We are huddling together as the war is starting we hear the first bomb and then the gunfires start. This is what our future will look like.
Jake P.O.V:
We just arrived to our shelter they forced us to live in an unsafe place with another family. This family is also without a husband and a father. We huddle together as we watch the war on tv and watch our family members fight for us and hope to come back home. As we watch the war gets more intense the soldiers start moving closer to the shelters where we are. This wasn't part of the agreement. They are starting to bomb the shelters near us we can now hear the bombs louder than ever I scream to my mom to run to get down stairs and scream to the other girl to take her family down stairs we manage to get them to hide. The sounds start getting louder.
Mya P.O.V:
I push my family to hide as the bomb strikes I manage to get away but my family is stuck. They can't get away. The boy from the other family pulls my arm and takes me into the forest away from the bomb I'm extremely scared for my family and for my life. I try to go back to save them but his arms are too strong and they pull me back. "I need to go and save them." I say. "No you can not because the bombs are still going and you could die. Plus you're the only person I have left." He replied calmly. " you have no control over me! I have to go! My mom and my brother! I need to save them!" I replied furiously. " look we will go and check it out but first we need to find a safe place to stay until the war moves out of this area." He said. He had a way of talking that was so smooth it made you swoon and made you want to trust him so I decided to agree. We then later went into the forest and we found a good place to hide. It took about a few hours until the fight had moved and it was safe to return and try to find our families. I couldn't remember the way but as we were walking I realized that jake knew the way back just like he knew the back of his hand. We entered the house and I ran everywhere looking for them and then I found my mom and my brother lying on the ground limp and life less.
Jake P.O.V:
As we ran into the house she ran and found her family lying on the ground. As soon as she saw them I heard noise of someone falling onto the ground I turned and found her crying and screaming for the loss of her family. I ran to her and held her in my arms and she asked me while in tears "Did you find your mom?" I replied to her with a calm yes and then she asked me " Aren't you upset about your loss?" And I knew this needed an explanation so I went on " No because my mother was very sick and we both knew she was going to leave me soon so she prepared me for this moment so that I wouldn't break down. I do feel upset but not that much because I know this moment was coming." She seemed like she understood but every time she looked at the corpses of her family members she would break down again and I would hold her in my arms.
