Prologue

Jade's POV

I crossed my arms and leaned my head against the window, a sigh escaping my mouth as I close my eyes. I had a headache because Jesy and Leigh were messing around, making it impossible for us to get anything done. I heard a crash and my eyes shot open, looking around I saw a vase on the floor, broken. I looked at Perrie and saw her looking at everyone with wide eyes, she was leaning against the wall and probably was asleep. 

"What did you guys do?" I groaned, lifting my head off the window and sitting up straighter. Jesy shook her head and bit her lip, trying to hold back her laugh as she pointed to Leigh. I narrowed my eyes at Leigh and she smiled sheepishly at me, making me raise my eyebrow at her. 

"I accidentally smacked the vase..." Leigh trailed off as she looked at the floor where the remains of the vase laid, glass covered a spot next to the table. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by someone walking in, the door making a loud sound as it shut. I looked over and saw Mike, the guy who was helping us record. He looked down at floor and his eyes widened, he looked at us and before he spoke we all pointed to Leigh. 

"Wow, thanks guys." Leigh mumbled under her breath and bit her lip as Mike groaned, obviously frustrated. 

"Look, you guys obviously aren't focused today so maybe we should just cut this short today." My eyes widened and I shot up, staring at Mike. 

"What? No! We need to get this album finished please, Mik-" He put his hand up to stop me and he shook his head, rubbing his forehead. 

"No, Jade. Come back when you're more focused and are actually reading to work." He looked at the broken vase and shook his head, before exiting the room mumbling to himself. I plopped back down on the chair and groaned, laying my head on the table. I felt someone rub my back and I looked up to see Perrie frowning at me, I sent her a fake smile and stood up. 

"Well, let's go then" I mumbled and grabbed my stuff, heading for the door. I heard footsteps my behind me but just kept walking. Soon I heard the footsteps right behind me, and someone shouting my name. 

"Jade! Hey, wait up." I stopped and turned around, seeing Perrie running up to me.

"What?" I asked annoying, crossing my arms.

"Wait for the girls." She simply said and put on her jacket and turning around, waiting for Jesy and Leigh. After a couple seconds, they both come running out but slow down when they see us waiting for them at the end of the hall. Once they are next to us, Jesy and Leigh throw their arms around me and hug me. 

"We're sorry!" 

"It's fine, I just want to finish this album as soon as possible.." I trailed off and sighed, running a hand through my hair. 

"We know, we're so sorry!" I shrugged and nodded, showing them I was fine now.

 "How about we go get some icecream from across the street? Sound good?" Perrie asked and I smiled at her, along with Leigh and Jesy. 

"Sounds good!" Jesy said, I smiled and we all linked our arms together and left the studio. We were all laughing and talking, making me smile bigger. I truly loved these girls, they meant everything to me. I was so engrossed in my own thoughts that I didn't notice what was happening, until I heard a scream. 

"Perrie! Watch out!" I spun to the right, where Perrie was, only to see her scream. Before she could react, she was hit by a car and rolled over the hood before landing on the street. 

"Perrie!" I screamed, I quickly bolted where she was and kneeled down beside her motionless body. She laid there, her eyes barely open and she had a large gash on her forehead. Her white top was now stained with blood and her legs covered in scratches and blood, along with bruises that were already forming. I touched her head and felt tears builed up in my eyes, I felt wetness on my hand and pull back to see blood covering my palm. 

"Perrie, hey, stay awake. Jes, call 911! NOW!" I screamed and let the tears slowly fall down my face, taking Perrie's bloody hand in mine, I continued talking to her. "Perrie, please, stay awake. Don't you dare fall asleep!" I bit my lip as the tears flowed down my cheeks. '

"They are coming.." Jesy said, although she sounded distant. I looked down at Perrie again and she her eyes closed, shaking my head my heart beat started to quicken and I was breathing heavily. 

"No! Perrie, wake up! Dangit, wake up!" I sobbed and touched her face, which felt cold. I started crying harder as I let my hand fall from her face, leaving a bloody hand print on her face. I heard sirens and soon felt someone pull me away from Perrie's body. I started fighting against Jesy and Leigh and was screaming, trying to get back to Perrie. 

"Jade, shh calm down." I spun around and buried my head in Jesy's neck, sobbing loudly. I clung onto her shirt for dear life, afraid if I let go something bad will happen to her too. Perrie would be alright....right?
