Momma y/l/n: Wake up child. Its prom day! Hurry and get ready so we wont miss your appointment

Y/n: Okay mom!

Today is the big day. I've been waiting for prom ever since my sophomore year. This senior year as been a rough road, but I manage to get through it and made sure I am on track for graduation. But enough about school, its time to get ready before my mother kills me

-In the kitchen-

Malachi: Hurry up Y/n. You don't need to get cute for anyone, where just going to the salon

Y/n: Can you shut up. I was looking for my shoes thank you very much so hush

Malachi: Ugh whatever dude. Moms in the car waiting on yo ugly self

Y/n: Okay and thank you for the compliment. Bye!

And were off to Jackie's hair/nail/makeup salon(Made up name)😃😃😃

I just got back home after I believe 3-4 hours of hair, nails and makeup. I got my hair cut short and curled, my nails are stiletto with black and red polish. My dress is black with a flesh tone slip under the dress so I wont be showing all of my skin with my black heels. My prom date is wearing all black with a red and white flower.  Now its time to go see the family.

Jahron: Where is y/n man?

Malachi: She'll be down here in a minute dude, just chill

Momma Brathwaite: Yea Jahron, your girlfriend will be down here anyminute

Everybody turns around as y/n walks down the stairs

Y/n: Hey y'all

Everybody: OH MY GOODNESS!!!

Y/n: Thank you! And thanks for supporting me through my journey during high school and helping out with my prom planning and everything. I really appreciate it, I really do

Momma Brathwaite: You are so beautiful

Malachi: Yea sis. You look beautiful for once in your life

Y/n: What a great way to mess up the moment but thank you

Malachi: I think your little boyfriend Jahron wants to see you

I looks up and see Jahron staring at me with this shock like expression on his face. He looks so fine with his dreads, fresh cut and to see him in a suit. Lawd I love a man in a suit.

Y/n: Hey bae

Jahron: Y-you look so beautiful

Y/n: Thanks. You look handsome yourself

Momma y/l/n: Hey you two. Were taking pictures outside so lets go
